I had both as well, I'm sure several people did but still disappointing.marknym wrote:Adding to my extreme disappointment, I had both Bautista and Trumbo on multiple teams, who both went deep tonight.
Hoping we can salvage this competition after the wildcard games.

Re: Bryce Harper thoughts?
Agree with many of the previous thoughts, don't think he's quite there yet. Will be a first rounder eventually. He and Puig both scare me a bit in fantasy because of how hard they play. They're throwing their bodies all over the place, crashing into walls, etc. It's exciting to watch as a fan but to...

Re: Your 20+ Round Hitter
We took Mike Olt in the 22nd Round. Could obviously be a bust but I like the upside of the pick there if he can wrestle away the 3B job fulltime.
Also took Mitch Moreland in the 24th which I think is good value for a guy that should hit 20+ HRs.

Re: who needs what tonight
We needed a few things to happen tonight but as lucky as we got, we also got screwed. We were down 1.5 to tie for first and got two RBIs and a run, that actually got us the tie. The killer is that we would have won outright with one more run..... the run that Wil Myers should have scored on the trap...

Re: Tie Breaker-Do the stats count?? Can we set rosters??
My home league handles these playoffs the same way every year..... if there is a playoff, you're locked into the lineup you started the last week of the season. It simply rolls over. There are no pickups/bids that can affect this additional game. But this should absolutely be counted, it's still par...

Re: Chad Schroeder Leads Both NFBC Main Events At Break
Chad, as you said, you've had some guys outperforming their expectations but I'm sure a lot of us chasing you are in the same boat. You obviously had strong drafts, made some good pickups and have had some luck too...... all the things needed to sit atop at the all star break. You make a good point ...

Re: Chad Schroeder Leads Both NFBC Main Events At Break
Really impressive that both teams are constructed so differently, I would have thought both would be pretty similar in the core. Not only that, in the 2nd league, he's got Hosmer/Reyes at 2 & 3..... neither is having a great year. Obviously some great pickups on the wire too. We're sitting at 3 over...

Re: How Is Your End Game?
We had a strong finish to the draft..... knocked it out of the park with picks 25-28 and even Harang at 29 has contributed. We made a terrible move dropping McDonald after his first few starts, but what can you do.... 13 Lucas Duda RF 14 David Freese 3B 15 Jim Johnson MR 16 Wandy Rodriguez SP 17 Gav...

Dodgers/Padres - 4/8 game
Noticed that the Dodgers/Pads stats from last night didn't show up in our team stats. Figuring that they'll appear in our Saturday stats since the game was suspended. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

FYI for anyone heading out to Citi from NYC tomorrow AM, I don't think the LIRR is runniing out there. I was planning on taking the train out becasue it's only about 15 minutes from Penn Station but looks like it only stops at Mets/Willets on gamedays.
Looking into the 7 train now.

Big Vin Scully fan (Dodger fan too but I think I'd love him either way).
More recent guys, really like Keith, Gary and Ron on the Mets broadcasts.

Even with the bad news, we're probably one of the few teams that left him in our lineup this week hoping he could still pick up a save or vulture a win.
Nice reward on Monday to see him get that W. Sending a fruit basket to Nelson Cruz today.
