Re: FAAB mulligans?
Is there such a thing? I noticed in my league last week that the transactions were changed after FAAB was posted. I sure hope there is an explanation better than the guy with 68 entries gets a mulligan once in awhile. Luckily I noticed it at 8 PM last night because I already had Mazara second on my...

Re: Suspened Game Stats
I just went back and read through this post again and am now off the fence. I agree that MLB allows modified rosters, and NFBC should do the same. The solution is simple really: if the game is suspended, book those stats just like it was a completed game for that day; when the game resumes, have IT ...

Re: Suspened Game Stats
I honestly am on the fence on this issue. What if you were a Romo owner in May and SF had scored 2 runs in the top of the 6th and had a 4-2 lead at the time of the suspension? Then it would seem rather unfair to that owner who was in line for a potential save opportunity to not receive it when he wa...

Re: One Pitcher on Friday
I've spent some time thinking about this and I like it. I believe I may have come up with a solid bullet point to help the cause. It adds to the depth of the usable player pool bringing middle relievers more into play. Every team could in essence have a MR pitcher on their roster and then use their ...

Re: Suspened Game Stats
I do not have an answer yet, but we are definitely looking at this. In past years, I don't believe the suspended games were made up three months later, so this wasn't an issue. I didn't get a final answer yesterday, but will update as soon as I know how this game is being handled. This was before m...

Re: Suspened Game Stats
MLB does not count the stats until the game is completed ... BUT whatever happened yesterday will be credited at that time regardless of whether a player who was in the game yesterday is in the lineup when they continue the game (hell some of them won't even be on the same teams but they will have ...

Re: Live Overall scoring
i think this is the same exact thing we heard in may with the first dh and the scoring issues. and fortunately for you, i don't believe there are any more scheduled dh's, so we won't know if you guys have actually fixed the issue. it's pretty f*cking ridiculous to go the entire season with the same...

Re: Week 13 Main Event Drops
The status of the bet is that it's off. And I am finished with the topic whether Greg does anything or not. Not because I think it's a bad bet (which I don't), but because my blood has been boiling on this issue since this morning and I need to put this issue behind me which I will not be able to do...

One final thought, if Greg simply removes Kennedy from the bidding pool as I believe he should, then I'm done on this topic.

Name calling certainly takes the bush up a level. I'm curious how confident you are in your expertise and new strategy. I'll give you 4 to 1 that you don't finish 5th or better in your league with this new roster of your's you are feeling good about. You pull it off, I ante a main event team for you...

First of all, I never mentioned the integrity of the league. This affects the integrity of the OA competition. Also, I never mentioned anything about collusion or even gave that a consideration. I called his actions bush league - unprofessional. He wants to claim that he can works miracles with 6 mi...

Re: Week 13 Main Event Drops
Daniel Hudson, Ian Kennedy and Ricky Nolasco... KJ Duke cleans house. Ray Murphy and Win Murray are licking their chops at rotation re-inforcements! My two best starters, Cliff Lee and Doug Fister had combined for a 3.40 ERA (while active) and ZERO wins in 19 starts. Meanwhile, my DBack twins, youn...

Re: Arnie did it Carrying a Cigarette From Hole to Hole
Ten years ago I played softball fairly well and still was able to lug my near 300 lbs up and down a basketball court without much trouble. I also golfed regularly but not very well. Now, I haven't played softball or hoops for at least 5 years and the thought of trying to jump right back into an "ath...

Re: Henry Rodriquez
He's been fantastic at home, but this was really the first time he had his control on the road. Ramos has been struggling mightily to catch him in several of his outings. If Ramos is out for awhile (which it certainly looked like) having Flores back there may help Henry as well.

Top 20 Main player percentages
Sorry about the formatting, any guesses who's on top of the list? Of course it's Josh Hamilton with 6. Interesting analysis of the top 30 ADP: 7 players from the top 30 are not on a single team in the top 20 (Miggy, Tulo, AGone, Kershaw, Teix, Hosmer, Lince) Only 3 players are on more than 2 teams (...

I could have sworn I watched Gavin Floyd pitching well tonight... I guess not, the game's been over for an hour or so and he doesn't show any stats.

What it said - "So let's narrow this down before we lose Stan Kaye to CBS Sportsline.com."
What it read - "I don't really care because where else are you going to play."

Re: Favor from my fellow NFBCers
LaHair over Sanchez Cuddyer and Gonzo over LaHair Format doesn't matter to me for this question. Ditto. Cuddyer in the Main, 100%,98.3%, am surprised he is not 100/100... That is surprising, but what surprises me even more is how anyone can be 98.3% when the number of leagues is 28. The numbers don...

I was watching the same thing and I agree that it was so bad that I think if Below were ready they would have brought him in even to face Montero. He frantically got up on ball 1 to the 2nd batter (Ichiro) and the catcher went out to chat. On ball 2, the pitching coach came out to stall. I don't th...

Re: Why did Hamels do it?
I respect Hamels for having the balls to answer that way. Yes it was stupid because he should have known a suspension would follow, but he's also probably smart enough to know that it would be 5 games like they always are and it would only force him to be pushed back one whole day. The farce was las...

Re: Jim Leyland
Jim Leyland is my favorite manager in baseball, but I agree he should have pulled the plug EARLY on Dotel! It was clear he had nothing about 3 pitches in! I'm a Tigers guy and don't like him, everyone else seems to. Coke did fine in the 8th, there were left handers on the horizon, just leave him in...

Change Suggestion for Setting Lineups
This is a suggested programming change: Instead of locking a player's lineup position when he plays in an early game, simply remove the bench option from the drop down list when the player's game starts. That way you're commited to playing or benching the player before his game starts, but you still...
