Re: NFBC Chicago Returns To Sheraton Northbrook In 2022

……. End of an era? My first NFBC event was in 2007, it was an online Satellite league. Dave Van derStuyf easily won that league. I didn’t know it then, but I was going to have plenty of opportunities to finish behind Dave in the standings for years to come. In 2008 I competed in my first Main Event....

Re: John Pausma Is The 8th Inductee To The NFBC Hall of Fame

Like most of us, I joined the NFBC because I thought I knew the game and that I would be highly competitive in this format of fantasy baseball . However, it's not until you play in the NFBC against players like John Pausma do find out what competitive fantasy baseball really is. As a player that has...

Re: Common Players On 2021 Top 100 National Teams

I think Phil was the first Main Event winner to start with a P in round 1. Did you know.....that the top 5 finishers in the main event all started with P? In fact, 3 of the top 5 started two yellow! How times have changed. Phil - Pick 3 - deGrom / Machado Ruland - Pick 15 - Nola / Darvish Phil - Pi...

Re: This Is The Final Scoring Period Of 2021 NFBC Season

Feel free to discuss. We are launching the 2022 site next week with this rule the same as it was in 2021, but again I'm open for discussion. It's part of MLB's regular season and thus part of the seasonal stats, so is it fair to give owners a chance to change their starting lineups for that play-in...

Re: Draft Boards Now Available Before Rolling Over Site To 2022

This is great! Thank you. Two questions: 1) Can you add owner as well to the board? We can see it in the results but not on the board. 2) Glenn - can you ask for no game 163 inclusion? John So to make these all visible, they are public boards that don't contain owners' names. Sorry. We had this sur...

Re: Lineup Lock Times This Week

So as you can tell this morning, you are still able to move Starting Pitchers in and out of your starting lineups. Nothing locked last night before the Yankees-Red Sox game, which was ultimately cancelled. We believe the system will allow you to move your pitchers and hitters today until the start ...

Re: 2022 Rule Changes? Saves?

Like Doughboys said, the game is evolving and it's also a zero-sum game. No rule change is going to give anyone an advantage. For me, it's more about do we evolve with the game and do we keep stat categories that are increasingly irrelevant and therefore more frustrating to find because real MLB ma...

Re: Innings Minimum

The fairest way to deal with missed minimums is neither of the above as I've argued before. Penalize the offender to the extent they missed the minimum and adjust their team stats and standings accordingly. If you miss by one inning you should not lose 10 points in standings since plugging in the w...

Re: Innings Minimum

In 2019 the average IP of all 570 Main Event teams was 1326, 30+% above the minimum needed innings. That was the average. Just 9 teams didn't make 1000, and I would guess they didn't make much effort at the end. Only 4% of All Main Event teams were even under 1100 innings pitched. I understand some ...

Re: Countdown to the NFBC

I know we've all been waiting for this day. Just the memories of their greatness is enough. So without further...

Re: 163rd Game Play-In Final Survey Results

Wasn't my suggestion, but I do like this one Allow a pitcher who has not pitched M-Th to be swapped out & replaced on Friday, i.e. a P does not lock until he enters a game & accumulates stats M-Th. Thank you. 8-) That was mine (& probably not an original thought & probably read it suggested by some...

Replace wins with innings pitched and remove the IP minimum.
I agree. Much better idea than adding QS for a variety of reasons.

Re: Pirates SS Tucker in FA pool???

Yes, we added free agents now. The free agent script did not run properly last night, so we manually added them now. We are looking at the code now, but all free agents have been added to the FAAB pool who first played last night. I see that additional players have been added to the free agent pool...

Why isn't Cole Tucker available in Free Agent pool today. He played yesterday. Just an FYI: newly added players show up at the exact same time every morning, including Tucker yesterday. You should be able to see the new additions each morning by 7 am ET. However, if you had the FAAB page open on yo...

still a weekly league so shohei and the 10-12 ab he gets a week aren't likely going to make a splash as a Bat as a part time DH and you wouldn't be able to slot him in at pitcher if you did so i think they handled this fine. by seasons end shohei will not be a top 250 ranked hitter, likely not a to...

Everything looks great. I would like to see AB's and IP's added. It could be for the individual stat lines, or with the Totals. But great job so far.............. Look under Stats, Team Stats.
