Re: Miggy
If I was drafting 1st today I would draft Trout. If I was drafting 2nd, today, I would take Miggy, but with some trepidation. The only reason for that, for me, is Miggy's health. We all saw how much he was limited in the last month of last season. Do I know, today, that he has healed or that he will...

Re: 2014 Early Season Draft Results
Glad the Abreu generated some good (great) content. How about a first rounder that I am struggling with. Sure...SS...good team...contract year...once had really good numbers. Has had more than 350 AB only once in the last three years. Yet he is going high. Of course it is Hanley Ramirez. According ...

Re: NFBC BaseballHQ.com Column On Masahiro Tanaka
Is pitching being valued more this year? I don't think so. Based upon the NFBC player ratings for the past 3 years 14-15 pitchers have been in the top 50 at year's end. Most draft's I've seen so far this year have between 10 and 15 pitchers going in the top 50. Pitching doesn't look overvalued to me...

Re: NFBC Rules Changes For 2014
Leave the 163 games rule alone. If you play this game for a large chunk of change and you don't take it upon youself to know all the rules, then honestly, too bad, so sad. For all the posters talking about "its a 162 game season" and "there's no skill in knowing who's playing in the 163 game", I hav...

Re: The New Top 30
I really enjoyed this post, especailly the walk through each position! I agree with the bulk of your top 30, but I have a question, why would you rank Reyes in the top 30 knowing the amount of time he will be missing? Reyes is great, when healthy, but considering he's not healthy I have a hard time ...

Re: NFBC Participants Question.....2
I'd go with option 1. Once the draft is over there are two ways you can improve your team 1) Acquire new talent efficiently (via FAAB), and 2) Manage your team well. I can control my own decisions about who to bench or play (none of us are perfect, but at least I can be comfortable with my own knowl...

Re: What Technical Improvements Would You Like To See?
On the Free Agents page, it would be nice when you select a time period (other than 2013 Overall) if the Rank could be recalculated based upon the time period selected. When I'm looking at the "Last 2 Weeks" if doesn't help to know so and so's oveall rank. Having said that, I love 99% of what I've s...
