All the proposals for DL/mid-week changes - Cliff notes

I'm glad to hear that people are finding ways to use the Friday DL rule in their personal lives. I tried using the rule with my girlfriends, but it really just hasn't worked too well for me  Anyway, after Greg's post, all I can say is that I support eliminating the rule. I think that is th...

I don't think that Greg is going to lose any numbers under any of these potential rules. The numbers are purely a factor of how he markets the NFBC. Remember there are a lot of fantasy baseball players. Lance, check out your May issue of Fantasy Sports from FW Media on page 8. That smoke blower's @$...

Okay, but now over here, let's talk freely. I rank the ideas like this: 1. Lance's 2. Dan's 3. KJ's Lance's idea is a step back but it does away with all of these arguments and it plays to the traditionalists that are the core of the NFBC format. Dan, your idea is very good. I just don't like exclud...

Ditto, that's why I posted my comment. There is too much talk about the results in this thread that people can read and then take the survey. I was just trying to point out to anyone reading that there is nothing that is conclusively leaning one way or the other or the other or the other. Shhhhhhhhh...

Fine-tuning The Friday DL Rule

I haven't liked this rule since it was implemented. I say do away with it. I voted against it, but after whoever it was that originally pointed this loophole out I have made sure to use it to my advantage as much as possible. I think I did it a few times last year. And I know I was one of the ones t...

CIN Owings +205 CHC Harden -235 O/U 8 This little NL Central matchup should be worthy of watching. Harden has been very, very good pitching in Wrigley. With that hefty price tag, somebody knows that Harden will be getting his game on tonight. Owings hasn't had any luck against the Cubs, hauling arou...

The NFBC In New York In 2010

I hate to distract the conversation from New York, but let's think about the fourth city option. There are a growing number of southerners in the mix. In Chicago this year, I saw several people from the KY, TN, and AL areas. Why isn't Atlanta being considered as a fourth option? Not knocking Orlando...
