Help me out -- but what happened to the old "Player Movement" tab on one's Team Webpage? I used to like checking that on Monday's, after FAAB each week.
I can't find the "Player Movement" feature / tab anyplace. Greg or Tom -- is it gone, coming back etc.?
Thanks!

Re: FAAB - Tony Cingrani
I was shocked Cingrani didn't go for more. I got him, and drastically overpaid. Where was the Vickory system in this instance! I mean, I realize he may not start long-term, and this could only be for a few starts. But, really -- Mike Leake? Really? We've seen that movie before, and know how i...

Re: CHIPPER!
Got Chipper for a $1 at the auction championship, and in the 30th round in the main. Like he wasn't going to have a nice year in his swan song tour. I understand about the injury concerns etc., but seriously ... 30th round pick, and a $1 ?????? ... as long as you have a back-up plan, he's a steal at...

Re: Crawford to visit Dr James Andrews!
That was a hilarious video ... I feel bad for both Crawford owners and the man himself. He propelled me to a league title in his T.Bay walk year ... and unlike other high priced free agents, I have every confidence if he was healthy, he'd perform. He works hard, and is a prideful guy. But I just wen...

Re: Liriano on chopping block?
Gone on all 3 of my teams ... he threw me over the top 2 years ago with a late round pick, but it's over. He's D.T.M. (dead to me) hereafter about 8.34 PM tonight, when the supercomputer processes FAAB claims.

Re: Humber perfect game
30th round in the main, weekend 1 ... wish I'd have grabbed him in a few more leagues. Won't obviously get outings like this all the time ... but I think he breaks-out a bit this year.
(and yes ... he was active for my squad -- which needed an outing like that!)

Re: Live Chat With Greg & Tom: Thursday at 3 p.m. EST
What 3 players -- pitchers or hitters -- would you target who are in a "walk year" this year (i.e., end of a long-term deal, only on a 1 year deal, or free agency pending for the first time, etc.)? And what 3 players who, say within the last 2 years, would you AVOID who are already signed to long-te...

Possible NFBC Rules Changes For 2011
I've said it once on these boards, and I'll say it again. Vikery system for FAAB. I should not have to make repeated visits to my Fortune Teller on weekend mornings to give me guidance on what to bid for a player. Someone should do a study on all the FAAB that has been left on the table as a result ...

I have a different question. If I drafted a minor leaguer -- like I did with JP Arencibia this year in the 30th round -- and then threw him back in the pool, and THEN bought him on FAAB when I felt the time was "right", that would render this whole issue, a non-issue, correct? In other words, this w...

I think I might top you all ... Sheets AND Hochevar in the same week. Can anyone add a Johan Santana to the mix, and we might have a winner. I only got Sheets in 1 of 3 leagues, and I actually had him on the cut list last night, but the claim didn't go through. He will be cut in the very near term, ...

Hoffman was totally lit-up last night. I'd say the bigger issue than # 600 for Hoffman is that Ken Macha is an idiot. "Sticking with his guy".

I'm with the last post ... this "sure thing" was VERY so-so in the minors (and College, for that matter). OK, he's got a great eye, and hits from both sides of the plate etc. Do yourself a big favor before you lock that waiver bid. Go and actually LOOK at his complete minor league record going back ...

"Flagging" of Free Agents in Leagues
Greg and NFBC Staff -- In the old Stats system, you could "flag" available free agents by checking a box beside them. This of course was EXTREMELY helpful for tracking players, etc. Is this feature coming? It's killing me each week across my leagues to go through the free agent lists in their entire...

Free Agents -- Sorts, Pool, Lists etc.
Hi -- (1) ability to sort by % owned and % active is now gone (was there the other day). What gives?
(2) Also, where is the "track player" feature?
(3) Still no access to 2009 stats (not that critical, but would be nice.)

Enhanced Free Agent Page Is Now Live
Getting better Greg -- any chance your team could: (1) introduce the "tracker" checkbox to track Free Agents, and I just thought of this now, and... (2) just thought of this, but I would LOVE it if your Programmers could figure out a way to automatically check your other leagues, and IF a player you...

Free Agents -- Sorts, Pool, Lists etc.
Hi -- I noticed a few things on the free agent lists that I hope get ironed-out: (1) there are no 2009 stats to look at how players did last year. Are we getting these? (2) you cannot sort the free agents by either Percentage Owned, or by Percentage Active ... I made this suggestion last year, which...

I understand your like of OBP%, as I play in several leagues which use it. And I agree with you. But we've been down this path before, and as an NFBC'er since the begining, what you'll find (what I've found) is that "it is what it is" (nice cliche, huh). Sure, there are small tweaks to the rules her...

Good thread -- Schwks actually raises some good, valid points about the depth and "home grown" of the pitching in Toronto, and some of the position players (e.g., Hill). But as a Canadian and longtime Jays fan, I have to say I've gone from being a J.P. fan, to so-so, to now thinking -- no, that woul...

Hi -- I had Frank Francisco (DL)on my Monday lineup, b/c I thought he might get activated toward the end of the week. Then I learned he'd be on the DL through next week. About 2 days ago, I reserved Francisco, and put Joel Hanrahan in his place. Now, I want to bench Hanrahan and instead put Chris Ra...

As I've argued elsewhere on these boards, I'm all for PED's -- everyone on the same playing field, making adult decisions about what to do -- or not do -- to pursue their livlihood, and put in their bodies. Never happen, but there it is. I can't wait for the day the NFL and college football get expo...

A DH Rant
This is an interesting debate, and I do appreciate the "dinosaur" argument, and what lies beneath it. The real key with all of this (from a fantasy perspective, which is all that matters), is "market timing", to borrow a term from the world of finance. Or in this case, player career timing, to be mo...
