MLB.com Draft Results
I don't know about the draft teams but my Auction AL only team is better then Shandler's. He has no legitimate stud producers, no star pitchers and made the terrible mistake of drafting Blalock and Loaiza coming of career years.
HMMMM maybe I should write a book!

I have both Giambi and Zambrano in my auction league. Gaimbi went for $24. Sadly however I benched Zambrano for his stretch against the Yankees.....
On the other hand I have both Sheffield round 4 and Jose Cruz Jr. who went in round 14.

Why the auction drafts were better
I wouldn't mind if the Auction was $1,500.00 or more. The reason is that there aren't as many Auction teams as there are draft teams. I'd like to see the event get bigger not smaller.

Hey "weapons"..what the hell are you talking about? If anything an Auction is MORE realistic not less! Imagine major league teams or NFL teams picking players in order instead of paying them a salary and watching their cap room and spending. To follow through with your analogy we DO NOT bid on minor...

Walla is right and he ain't whining. He ain't the type. The way the Acution was done works fine. Players were moved maybe 3 times during the whole auction. If you want no problems next year then put players by position.

Draft Recap--Best/Late Worst/Early Pick
We were on auto draft untill round 10 but I think our worst pick was Loaiza in round 6 and the best pick was Maddux in round 10.

Bonds home runs will be down this year because with the lineup around him nobody will pitch to him!

Why the auction drafts were better
I agree with all that has been said so far. The Auction was alot of fun the people were great, the league owners seemed like cool people and Greg and his staff ran a great first rate event. That being said I just wish the Auction was a bigger event close to the prestige to the draft. Lets face it th...

Right on Walla Walla! I was at the AL Auction and it was extremely fun and challenging! We were also at the draft the next day (well...sort of). I prupose that next year's championship be an Auction instead of the draft. My cat can probably do a draft by pressing random numbers. The Auction requires...

I gotta chime in on these topics: I love the Giambi pick. Ignore last years stats. His knees will be able to handle his lower body weight. Keep in mind the 2 MVP seasons he had before last year. I was able to snatch him in the AL auction for $24! Texiera who is relatively inexprerinced went for $23....

WRE the Phil Helmuth of the NFBC?
Greg we had a great time. Everything that happened had nothing to do with you guys, it was my fault. Thanks for having your staff draft the first 10 picks for us. The above was written tounge in cheek and not meant to imply anything else. Anyway we still have a chance if things fall right...

WRE the Phil Helmuth of the NFBC?
Ok some of you may know that we missed the first 10 rounds of the draft and were put on auto-draft by the league (League 12 in LV). Here is our official explaination adn we are sticking to it: Phil Helmuth one of the best poker players out there never plays the first two rounds of a tournament. He j...

WHERE IS GORDON GEKKO?
In defense of Gekko the guy that talks the most "smack" is not always the stupidest one. He may be especially dangerous because if he backs it up this year, then no one will hear the end of it! In know this from experience, in the league I was in AL only Auction I was the one always talking smack. L...

Thanks for the warm welcome Greg! I'm trying to convince my wife to let me join the NFBC in addition to the A.L. League Auction but she almost smothered me in my sleep for that alone. I know I wont make it to Vegas on 2 broken legs so I have to tread carefully! BTW anyone who wants to go drinking wi...
