Javier Vazquez For Melky Cabrera??
in my humble opinion there is no chance that Vazquez will be flipped. He is coming off a monster season, will give the Yankees 200 innings and a minimum of 14-15 wins. As for the post season, they can always go with a three man rotation for those who say he wont have the stomach for the post season ...

Javier Vazquez For Melky Cabrera??
Dan, Id be happy with DeRosa because he can play so many positions. I also think we still might see a Damon signing for say 2 years at $20 million (that would be my first preference). As for being shrewd, the GM's going after the likes of Doug Davis, Joel Piniero, Jason Marquis, etc could have certa...

Javier Vazquez For Melky Cabrera??
Steve, I know all about his flop last night but the guy is solid, a bulldog, great control and a helluva nice number three starter. They gave up nothing to get him, in my humble opinion, a total slam dunk. Id rather be on the hook for 11.5 for Javy then pay 8-10 for Sheets or 7-8 for a Marquis/Pinie...

Javier Vazquez For Melky Cabrera??
As a die hard Yankee fan I love the deal. I couldnt agree more with your assessment. If it was for Derek Lowe (whom I would not have wanted anyway) I could almost say it was a decent deal, but for Vazquez, it was highway robbery.

Javier Vazquez For Melky Cabrera??
Greg, one can also ask, why in the world would the Braves make the deal? Are they that hard up for cash? Everything I read said they were trying to move Lowe (which would have been the way smarter move) for a bat. The best bat they could come up with was Melky?? Also, considering Jason friggin Marqu...

Thanks Billy. Hopefully with Greg/Tom/Ryan's input we can figure something out to get this concept off the ground.

I like the ideas Shawn. Once we get enough people interested we can start putting something together.

Kevin, just take on a Dick Vitale like consultant for basketball!! Shawn had the same reservations as you. With such a smaller talent pool basketball is by far the easiest to pick up.

Fantasy Triathalon
Just wanted to float an idea that I ran by Greg and Tom. They very much like the concept and if we can get 12-14 owners we can possibly start it in 2010. The contest would be an Fantasy Triathalon, running for the entire year, comprised of baseball, football and basketball. My other thought if we co...

Id much rather hear your incesant babble about how good of a team you drafted and how good of a roto player you are. Speaking of Queens, you like the way that word rolls off of your mouth, huh Mary?

Come on now, Baltic is sharp, like sandpaper. His tremendous team is in freefall so he has to insult some other owners to keep himself involved.

GUYS, Who are your Best and Worst players so Far??
Since injuries usually tell the story, worst would be Morneau(5th), Crosby(12th), Affeldt(13th) and Benson(17th). Best has to be Hawkins(21), J. Phillips(26), Cantu(27), Lyon(28) and Counsel(30). Helped soften the blow of some of the walking wounded.
