Re: Leagues already drafted

Polarizing as in the severity. I never said Nfbc wouldnt refund everyone but you as a business should be prepared for that possibility. Some people think it’s the end of the world, others think the virus be gone in two weeks. I work for a State Health Department and work with some pretty sharp peopl...

Re: Leagues already drafted

Probably should have a contingency plan in case the season isn't played at all. I know this is a polarizing topic, but the possibility is real.

Re: Ryan Mountcastle, et. al.

Swihart is OF only

This is a little disappointing. I’m left with one backup catcher after the great purge

Re: Rules for 2020

How about cutting off at 162 in DC’s?

I won $$$ because of this in 2018. Had German Marquez and a few other players in game 163. It’s a cool story and I appreciated the prize, but it felt a little dirty.

“trend setter” drafts

I see we’re having the premature draft this weekend

Are we having any other October drafts?

I vaguely remember having a few last year

Shows up as a 2b on the draft roster grid. I believe he's only a 3b?

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

Guy in our draft working on what is probably his 15th timed out auto draft pick. He logs in just so auto isn’t on. Auto picked Brent Honeywell & the placeholder, among others. Will be fascinating to see if the place holder is ever filled

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

Going from 4 hours to 3 made almost no difference. I didn’t even think about the drafts coming up. That’s a good point. I have three upcoming myself

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

There is just a strange sense of complacency that has taken place in the new drafts with 2 hour time limits. It used to be 3 or so players that would consistently take hours at a time off the clock and the rest would go like mad men to keep the thing going. Now we have 6-8 players routinely taking ...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

What would you put the clock at? 25 hours? 30 hours? 40? Pause overnight?

I like the idea. It wouldn't be as painful watching 4 hours a daylight get burned if we knew there was a ramification for it.

Re: quality starts VS wins

I wouldn't mind QS if it was actually quality. 3 ER in 6IP is 4.50 era. Try winning your league with that... or staying in the league as a pitcher.

Re: Waiting for news

You hit round 20 in these drafts and it's like PPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTT the air gets let out of the balloon. Casual fan loses interest and draft drags. Picks back up around round 40, a little, when people are using auto-draft. Curious to know when the clock changes and what it changes to...

Bush league or fair game?

We have a guy on the turn doing this. Seems disrespectful.

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

In a league now where we don’t have a guy who times out a lot but about 8 guys take 2 hours to pick. It’s rough. Spent 15 hours on the turn the other day. Two years ago I was in a 15 team DC that finished in around 4 days. Everyone signed up for the draft actually checked in on the draft. Pretty wil...
