Re: Welcome To The 2019 NFBC Season - Our 16th Season!
The changes to the DC are great. I look forward to watching the "slow pokes" get put on auto! I agree that upping the third place award to $150 would be a good idea. Dropping second place by $25 to pay for that would work for me. I think the idea of recouping your entry fee would also be a good idea...

Re: Reminder: Final Cutline FAAB Is TONIGHT
It was a lot of work (especially for the team that needed 9 replacements!) but was definitely much easier than last year. The work that was done to make the process more user friendly really paid off. I'd like to see the FAAB that was not used by other teams. Is that available somewhere?

Re: Let's Compile The Latest Updates In This Thread
Okay, one more addition for today: 1. Team Stats now has separate pulldowns for: Yesterday Today Season It is now defaulting to Week 2 and showing the seasonal stats for all of the players on your current roster. There are also pulldowns for just 5x5 Rotisserie categories and Cutline Points. There'...

This thread is very helpful as it has answered or addressed all of my issues. For example, I, too, was wondering where I could sign up for the daily emails:) Keep up the good work guys.

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues
Greg, Tom, and I are all in MAJOR favor of a "total timeclock per owner per draft"...if we can deliver it technology-wise. As you all know, I am not a tech or IT guy so I don't want to make a grand promise. But if it is feasible for us to implement this for upcoming seasons/sports, we will do every...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues
I think Philippe27's idea for a total time clock is a great idea. Like him, I usually have been able to make my picks within 15 minutes or so, but a couple of times I had to go to a couple of hours. No idea what total time would be reasonable, but I'm sure Greg and company could come up with somethi...

Re: Multi-Round Ques Now Available In The Draft Room
A phenomenal addition! I would expect this to really speed up drafts, especially in the later rounds. This, and the ability to run ADP's for different time periods, are just great new tools.

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues
I believe future slow drafts should have total time limits rather than a shorter clock as this gives more leeway to the guy who occasionally needs a full 4 hours vs those that are consistently slowing down drafts. Finishing in 3 weeks is a very reasonable pace for 50 rounds, which is 336 hours of a ...

Re: SportsHub Technologies Acquires MFL10s
I have a hard time understanding the negative comments on this board. I see the glass being completely full and improvements being announced regularly. It's a great site and I'm just disappointed I didn't discover NFBC until I retired seven years ago. Keep up the good work.

Totally agree with this. Limiting the trips to the mound by the catcher is another change that is needed to pick up the pace of play. What we saw in the playoffs was pretty ridiculous at times.

Everything looks good. I do agree with this: "If there was a way to sign up for the drafts and fill the dates as desired that would be ideal. My 2 cents." Look forward to seeing you at FPAZ - where we can commiserate on our "loss."

Re: How About A $100,000 Grand Prize In The NFBC Cutline?
Going to a draft of 42 with no roster expansion is OK. However, I think it's mandatory to have two FAAB periods to replace as many of those 42 as you want. We should keep early April; date of the second one could stay where it is or move a few weeks. Day of the week for the two FAABs doesn't matter ...

Re: How About A $100,000 Grand Prize In The NFBC Cutline?
I'm in the camp of not making major changes to what we have. I definitely want to keep leagues with a payout to the winner. Personally, I'm not in this to win BIG money. I am in it to compete and to try to win. And I'm in favor of a flatter payout. I know you plan to make FAAB easier to use, which s...

Re: Rian Lange Leads NFBC Cutline Championship Week 20
The only strategic change I need to make is to pick more players who will stay on the field Then I'll need them to not have their worst two weeks of the year when the chips are down Well, maybe one of my teams can win the wildcard. I do really like this format.

Re: How Can We Make Draft Champions Better & Faster?
Going to four hours to make a pick with the overnight pause is a great idea and will much improve the drafting experience. I also think showing how long each owner is taking to make their picks will have a significant positive impact in moving things along. On the other hand, starting the draft one ...

The article in theringer.com that was all too briefly mentioned in the USA Today article was written by Ben Lindbergh. Re: Looking For Feedback On NFBC Cutline Rules
I think having two FAAB periods is very important. I would definitely keep the first one where it is. The second one could be moved up a couple of weeks to leave more time for the new players to make an impact before the first cut is made. It seems the bulk of the complaints about the FAAB process c...

Re: Looking Ahead To NFBC Cutline In 2017
I think you did an excellent job for the initial set up and would change very little, if anything. I'm enjoying Cutline a great deal (it doesn't hurt that I'm leading both of my leagues) and expect to play more next year. Not having to struggle with lineup decisions every week is a huge plus, as is ...

Re: What's The Early Feedback On The NFBC Cutline?
The Draft - Going in, I was very concerned with the 55-second limit, especially since I was on the wheel. As it turned out, I had no problem and enjoyed it so much that I drafted a second team two nights later :D Having not played in a points league previously, I did like the challenge of devising a...
