Half Season Satellite for 2008

Half Season Satellite for 2008

Originally posted by Greg Ambrosius: Well, here's what I'd propose. Why not do a $250 league with an online draft the week before Opening Day since this league has a shorter season and cuts, injuries, etc., are even more important for this league. Half Season Satellite for 2008

I must admit, football is my favorite fantasy sport. I think the shorter season has a lot to do with it but there are lots of other reasons also. I find that my interest in fantasy baseball starts to wane about the All-Star break. Would there be any interest in a half season satellite? We could play...

NFBC Online Championship Proposal

Bucks, I feel your pain but I have the opposite problem with online baseball drafts. There are so many positions and so many players that after the first couple of rounds where things are pretty predictable, it takes me several seconds to find and scratch off players taken. With an online draft ther...

NFBC Online Championship Proposal

I think this is a great idea. The smaller buy-in is very appealing as I'm not competitive (yet) in fantasy baseball. I was going to give up but this would allow me to continue to compete. It's such a long time between the Super Bowl and serious football draft preparation, we need something to fill t...

29th for me. The 15th/16th are my travel days with the dog from southern Fla back to NJ.

Setting lineups at the draft is no problem. The other event does it for football for week 1 as they draft the day before the first Sunday games. Just indicate bench players ...easier to mark 7 than mark 23

First shot at NFBC baseball. I think it's okay but I was a bit stressed. My analysis is that I'm a little weak in BA but power and speed will be fine. I'm counting on several young players with upside. My pitching should also be competitive and hopefully one of the rumored trades for Jorge Julio wil...

Javits - Main Event

I don't see the NFBC listed on the Javits event list for March. Can you tell us what Javits space you have been assigned...e.g. Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.

Thanks

Greg, I know you don't like to remove posts, but I think you should get rid of those spam threads before they take over the boards.

Dan Uggla

Just for the record, I dropped Uggla to pick up a 2B because I couldn't wait the 2 weeks to get a 2B starter.

I'll be very disappointed to know I didn't have to do that. If you change the eligibility after the fact I'd like you to reverse the drop of Uggla in the $500 Mar 7 League.

Anyone in a tougher_league?

Ummm, excuse the interruption, didn't I read somewhere on these boards that the 2005 Champion was a "newbie" at the time. It seems pretty arrogant to think that experience playing in the NFBC is a measure of fantasy competence. I used to play in a 30 member group that played fantasy sports all year ...

Looking Back

You know it but I'll say it... Greg can never, ever admit that an early draft pick is better than a late draft pick. At the heart of growing this business must be the assumption that all draft positions have an equal chance of winning and skill plus luck will decide the outcome. The fact is, so much...

The Expo Center will be difficult for those who don't want to drive or are coming by plane, train, or bus to NY for the draft. Regional bridge tournaments are held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in the Meadowlands. It is a 15 minute bus ride from Port Authority. The Crowne Plaza and other similar hotels ...
