Welcome to the Post Steroids Era!
The fragility of the modern day baseball player is beyond bizarre. Why does it seem that most of them are 50 times more brittle than the average person on the street? In football, I'm amazed that more people aren't injured. That sport is brutal. However, baseball is anything but. Setting aside pitch...

Supreme Court Refuses To Hear CDM Case
Thanks for the link Greg. This is great news. In my humble opinion, words are inadequate tools to describe the twisted greed that MLBAM has displayed in pushing this. The fantasy industry has created an instrument that, on the margins, has immensely increased MLB's profits and revenues. MLB should b...

Cubs - are they this good?
Anyone else surprised the Cubbies have the best record in baseball? Yes, they can hit, they've got Zambrano, and a decent bullpen, but their 2-5 starters look shaky to me. Can they really keep this up?
KJ - aren't you a Cubs fan? Will this continue? Or will they slip back to .500 in due time?

...if you saw any of these coming:
San Diego 15-27 - worst record in the NL
Colorado 15-25 - 2nd worst record in the NL
Detroit 16-25 - 2nd worst record in the AL(will be the worst after they lose the next 2 to Arizona)
If you called these, bravo I say, Bravo!

Well the Tigers have really turned it up a notch. They've improved their play to where they no longer look like the worst team of all time. Nope, at 16-23, they simply look like the worst team in the AL, this year. Give it up for De'troit! It's looking extremely doubtful that they'll get back to .50...

There's no question they CAN do this, its only a matter if they will CHOOSE to do this. As some have mentioned it would just involve additional code. True, it might involve a significant amount of programming by Stats, I dunno. As far as the complexity, that would only effect the programers. As for ...

Interesting, what would really make me happy is if they moved Guillen to DH somehow. If Guillen would just be a little worse, like 'Alex Sanchez' worse, it would be comic relief watching him play defense, as it is, its just painful.
