for greg and tom, rule opinion

thanks greg, just always remember a controvesy the first year, where some guy was stashing minor leaguers like lastings miledge in single a on his reserve all year and he never came up, as well as a few other minor leaguers from one particular team. I think some people had a problem with that so i a...

duke, never heard of that to be honest. All the other stat services i have used include minor leaguers in their add/drops each week allowing you to spend free agent money on a, aa, and aaa players if you wish. allstar stats, sportsline etc. usually the only good players worth picking up are minor le...

Greg/Tom, just curious. what was the reason that made the nfbc switch the eligible free agents to exclude players in the minors before they are called to the majors. owners should be allowed to stack their reserves with players who are not yet called up. Its a big part of fantasy baseball dont you t...

no 40 man!

by the way, the 45 round draft champions league is great. it was really fun drafting that. having no pickups for the entire year really makes you earn your money. no luck. The nfbc main event should be like that. artie

no 40 man!

why does everyone have to wait now in order to pick up minor leaguers? i think it takes alot out of the contest. If you want to pick up and stash away a player you feel is coming in the summer at the start or during the year, you should be able to do that no? its part of forecasting fantasy baseball...

the last winning spot in any league (3rd place) should always get their money back in my opinion, otherwise dont bother having that prize spot. triple a

I guess no one is looking at drops?

thats why its better in my opinion not to use bids for free agents. an order each week from last to first is better with a set # of pickups per year. ron shandler agreed with me when he was on here answering questions. triple a

Gaming system or being smart?

in my own personal league we solved these punting away the category problems by making it 1,000 innings pitched to eliminate the using all closers strategy, and we use w-l instead of wins to eliminate the all starter strategy.

Matoes placed on DL

matos was placed on the dl. yet people cant change the guy out. i think this rule is a terrible idea. leaving it in the hands of someone else to put your player on the dl before a deadline on friday is no good. on monday morning you have the option of gambling if the guy is going to play or not for ...

not a big fan of percentage cats. hits + walks as a cumulative stat is much better than obp. id rather stick with avg. but we change we should get rid of the percentage category. here is the reason why: teams that do not have players that get many at bats remain high in the percentage category, espe...

hey greg and tom, any chance of a draft champions league like you guys do in football for baseball next year? draft like a 45 man roster on draft day and thats it. i would be interested in that. actually i think thats how the grand prize should be won in baseball and football in my opinion. long dra...

Brandon Lyon dropped in my league

laroche was dropped in my league. ny 1 2 weeks ago. i think thats worse. the guy is going to finish with 100rbi's while lyon can lose his job if he has just a couple of bad outings. this is another reason why free agents from worst to first each week is better. If a team makes a bad move by dropping...
