I've got to say I felt the same as Doug after the season. Keeping track of my player's health, pitching matchups, the FA pool, setting bids each week was starting to feel more like a job I didn't want to do than a hobby, or fun. I knew near the end of last season I wouldn't be playing another league...

I'm looking to cut down on in season "work" next year, so I'm looking at the DC leagues, but I'm not big on the "slow draft" and I'm not big on drafting in November. I've mentioned I'd love to do a live draft champions league, but that might not be realistic as it would take a big chunck time. Maybe...

I agree with some earlier posts in this thread about the time it takes now to run a Main Event team. With the Friday changes, the FA bids, it's very time consuming, and I found it starting to become an inconvenience as the summer moved on. That said, one of the highlights of the season for me is the...

Besides the FA change, I don't see any reason to mess with the rest of the NFBC rules. The format here is great. Hate to see rules changed just for the sake of change. That said, I wouldn't be against a 900 IP minimum. More important to me than any rule changes, I'd rather see web site enhancements....
Originally posted by TTBoy: I have a different question. If I drafted a minor leaguer -- like I did with JP Arencibia this year in the 30th round -- and then threw him back in the pool, and THEN bought him on FAAB when I felt the time was "right", that would render this whole issue, a non-issue, cor...

I've stayed pretty quiet through this season's trials and tribulations. The errors in the FA list almost weekly suggests one of two things need to happen. Someone (or two) people need to be at work, monitoring the FA list Saturday night through Sunday morning to make damn sure the FA list is absolut...
Oh good....Ellsbury needed some company on my auction team's DL. Tough blow for that team, Dan. At least it doesn't hurt your main Event team. Nice job so far! keep it rolling.

Greg, Thanks for the tribute to the true pioneers of the national fantasy contests. Without them we wouldn't be enjoying this great game we have now, and everyone should be aware of what they've done for our hobby. We all owe them a great deal of thanks. They grew their games to great levels, yet we...
