How do I write off the $1250 entry fee expense for the NFBC? Is it a gambling loss?



I'm using HR TaxCut pro ..



I got the 1099-MISC form from Krause.. for winning 1250 (tie for 2nd place) but TaxCut won't let me write it off as a gambling loss.



Any help would be awesome!

If we're going to auction/draft online then I am game. I won't be going to the NFBC in Vegas this year. It'll either by CHI or NY.. or not at all.

If I do the NFBC this year it'll be in CHICAGO again or possibly NY.

I'd be very interesting depending on the locations/dates/methods of auction and draft. I live in MN and will probably be out in Vegas 2-3 days for the NFBC draft in March.

Is it bad if I had to go look up who Conner Jackson was I had no idea...

Superpinion and I finished tied for 2nd in Chi Lg 4.. do we split 2nd/3rd place $? Or is there a tiebreaker?

Greg/Tom - Can somenoe please tell me why the Ben Sheets drop was allowed in CHI League 4? Did I miss something there? Did he break his leg?

Greg/Tom - Since you both are watching.. I just wanted to personally thank both of you for working so hard to put on such a great event. Having played with your (former) competetor (WCOFB) in 2003... I can honestly say that the NFBC is far and away the better product. You guys have done a great job....

What happens if I have say... Ryan Howard,

and I decide to waive him on Sunday. Will he then dissapear from the player pool the following week (since he is headed to AAA)?
