Re: An Open Letter to the NFBC
So what you are saying is because you throw more money in that your voice should dictate votes or have more sway factor? Isn't this what has made a once great democracy a train wreck - by letting the big companies buy congress. How has that worked out??? As an entreprenaur you should know that Busin...

Re: My 2013 All-Star Game Selections
There's a shock!!!! Alan dissing a Yankee and praising a Met!! I'm stunned!!! :D :D :D What Yankee am I dissing? Just stating a fact.. the NL has 9 pitchers under a 2.60 ERA, the AL has 2. The AL dominates in the hitting department. I could be on these boards every day killing the 4th place Yankees...

Re: uh oh harper...
Paper mache is definitely not a term I would use on Harper. The kid will play unless he is forced out of the lineup. He plays balls out EVERY play, something baseball has sorely missed. So I bet he misses a game or two if that. He is a warrior with one caveat when you draft him - be prepared for tha...

Re: Edwards Kings Main Event Blog
I had to find a guy with a heartbeat considering I currently have 5 injured players now in my lineup as of Tuesday (Stanton, NWalker, Tulo - we have heard day to day in the past with him, Crawford, and Freese I play every other day because I am so brittle). But watch out for Arcia, odds are good he ...

Whats another 6 weeks without Stanton? He missed the first 3 weeks - oops, I mean he was invisible the first 3 weeks, had a handful of good games... now gone again... as my 1st round pick, he is dead to me - just like his stats have been dead all season

Re: Straily
On the roster by 7am or still on the roster AT 7am? He was on the roster when he started and won April 5th. I guess (hypothetically) a pitcher could start once a week and get sent down every Saturday which would keep him ineligible for pickup except in leagues where he got picked on draft day. Than...

Re: Stats from Yesterday's Suspended Reds-Phils Game?
The stats were considered the day the game started, so the live stats feed is not going to recognize the stats. And even today if you look for them in yesterdays stats, you will not find them... will only see them by looking at period 4 stats.

Re: Stats from Yesterday's Suspended Reds-Phils Game?
This could have been a fun discussion if this occurred on a Sunday and resumed on a Monday :D :D If I had a pitcher in that game that was or wasn't in my lineup and I took him out / put him in on Monday based on what he did in the suspended game on Sunday. Lets just thank god it happened on a Tuesda...

Re: Live Scoring - Stats Presentation
Old view with columns was much cleaner. If you need all that extra crap/stats go look at a site with all that extra junk. We are in a league with 10 categories... so the other 100 stats in todays world are meaningless to a majority of the owners. The best way to design apps/sites is use the KISS met...

Re: The Official "Why Did I Draft Josh Hamilton?" Thread
If I recall everyone was saying the same things about Pujols last year. He was washed up, he was old, the steroids were wearing off. Then May showed up and Albert woke up. Then by the end of the year Pujols had Pujols numbers. Same issue with Hamilton, trying to justify his big contract... once he s...

Re: Question about NFBC sign ups
Or how about this for the online people who think the event fee should not apply. How about the cost it takes to run online drafts... build the software, pay the costs of hosting the sites, making changes to the software, having live support in case of issues JUST for online drafting. There is overh...

Re: Looking For Input On NFBC Live Scoring
Greg, I can't remember last week let alone last September.
But I do remember the #1 issue with the new model was the categories needed their own individual columns so everything aligned and you could easily see which players accrued the total stats at the bottom.

Re: NFBC Rules Changes Discussion For 2013
My suggestion on this: Pitcher is LOCKED 5 minutes prior to start time of that days game. Remains locked until official stats run that next morning, if the pitcher still has not pitched, they become unlocked. Again until the next game for that team 5 minutes prior to it starting. This can occur for...

Re: NFBC Rules Changes Discussion For 2013
I'm dense, KJ, so it takes me awhile to get it. And, I just got your plan. I like it. Once a pitcher throws a pitch, he locks on your roster whether benched or not. It won't matter which day. So, if on Saturday a roster had Lincecum pushed back to Monday to 'rest his arm', he can be replaced...

Re: NFBC Rules Changes Discussion For 2013
One period per week for pitchers, two periods per week for hitters. Okay, makes sense. Now the big question: can it be programmed? One thing I don't like about this proposal is that you'd be forcing owners to stay on their toes all week, and at all times of the day. Rather than having just Monday e...

Yes, they will need to add buttons to pages where data falls "below the fold". So the user experience does not require them to scroll back up to the top of the page to click a button. The fold in web design is the position on a web page where the majority of browsers viewing the page will begin to s...

Move Up should be available for the first backup, so he then takes over the primary spot. A pain to have to edit the primary then edit the backup when you simply just wanted to flip-flop them

1100 IPs... Lineup changes stay Fridays Bring back pitchers minus the whole DL designation with one major caveat. As someone else stated its as simple as you can only replace a pitcher whom has not pitched during that week... takes the shysters out of the loop that will try to beat the "old" system...

Re: NFBC Post-Season Game Concept
Something along the lines of how they do football... So take Chad's idea and multiply it by 2(less chance of identical teams being matched)... you pick a full lineup for AL side AND NL side Two players from each team... this solves Todd's dilemna of loading up... but adds more combinations/points to...
