Checks Are In The Mail

Greg, I sent the W-9 thing in but still haven't received a check and I live in Ohio. Should I be concerned about lost in the mail or was there another delay? No hurry but my mail lady is a bit unreliable and I was wondering if the delay was on your end or maybe I should be watching my neighbors to s...

Rule Changes For 2006 NFBC

Wow, I'm sure glad my life is not too busy to find time to look at a computer twice a week. When do you guys find time to take a crap?

Rule Changes For 2006 NFBC

Let me be the first to threaten to quit if the rules aren't changed to allow twice weekly DL moves. That makes 1 quit with change and 1 quit without change for a net loss of 0 whichever way Greg goes.

Rule Changes For 2006 NFBC

I'm all for twice weekly moves. Drafting a good bench should carry more weight in the outcome of the contest and unlucky injuries should have less weight.

No SP Strategy working like a charm in NL Auction 2

The money I saved on pitching was promptly thrown away trying to run the bid up on Bonds who I didn't want at all but that's part of the fun of an auction, trying to keep others from getting bargains. The no start strategy has worked because it wassn't widely used this year, next year with several t...

Minimum IP In 2005

CC, yes I played in the NL auction last year with this years Atlanta Ractors owner Jeff Rackliffe, we finished third after leading most of the year and fading at the end. We had a normal pitching staff of starters and closers. I don't claim to have invented the closer only strategy but I thought it ...

Minimum IP In 2005

I really don't care if you put a relatively high innings pitched requirement in the main event. When teams from all the different leagues have to compete against each other for one Grand Prize, the more conformity you can legislate in the rules the fairer the contest. I also have no problem with the...

Minimum starts

Having the freedom to try different strategies is a fun part of this game, forcing everyone to conform to the same strategy is a bad idea. The no starters strategy only works if no one else does it in your league and that sets up a possible draft showdown if 4 or 5 owners haven't drafted any pitchin...

All RP Strategy

The class A pitchers and closers strategy worked well for me in the NL auction league as far as pitching points, my problem was blowing my extra offense money running the bid up on Bonds. I'm floating between 2nd and 5th in a very tight league even with Bonds, Dave Roberts and Jose Cruz being out al...

WEEK#1 Kick_to_the_Jimmie

I expected similar to happen to both at some time this year. Just not opening day and both at the same time  It will take a while and I may have to find some setup guys to increase innings. Both pichers should get 80 innings this year and both have historically had eras around 3, so there's sti...

Thanks for the respect Greg with three sons and a wife of 34 years that might be all the respect I get this year. I knew you weren't thrilled with my minor league pitcher auction strategy when I told you about it a couple months ago. I could have found 7 $1 pitchers on 40 man rosters who wouldn't ha...

Originally posted by Spyhunter: So Greg said at the main tourn draft in vegas - that you had to have 'some innings pitched' What does that mean? 1 inning 3? 50?
