Phone/Online League 2
I see some familiar names in this league. I'm sure that this year will be toughest of my 6 years in NFBC, since only people who believe in their expertise are willing to play big stakes in this economy! So, how did your KDS work for you? Personally, I think you can win from any position, although yo...

Did anyone start Zito in COL?
After his slow start, I would likely have had him on the bench this week; however, Zito is having a really great performance tonight. If I had to bet on one pitcher getting lit up tonight, I think Zito would have been near the top of the list. I would have never thought this would be the worst perfo...

I like the new Undroppable list
FYI... The Stats List is meaningless. You can drop anyone, but then Greg/Tom will determine if the dropped player will enter the FA Pool. Last year I had RP Chad Cordero on my league, and I made the decision to cut so that I could add another starting pitcher to my rotation. After some unfortunate W...

Well, it is Day 4, so it is my turn to post the draft strategy used by Team 4. The draft breakdowns to date have been very good, so hopefully I can continue that trend. Pos Player Name Team Rd Pick C Martinez, Victor CLE 4 57 C Bard, Josh SD 17 244 1B Swisher, Nick OAK 6 87 2B Uggla, Dan FLA 10 147 ...

Contingency Bids Will Still Run
Looks like the problem has been resolved in Chicago 2, as those players are no longer in the FA Pool.
I redid my bids for that entry, just in case, since it also had Kip Wells in the list, who was drafted by another team.

Hi Greg, Will this FAAB evaluation process also catch players who are already on a team? In Chicago 2, Ted Lilly is on Team 5 (Pick 16.11), but he also appears in the Free Agent Pool. I thought it was too good to be true... Let me know if I need to adjust that FA request, so I don't miss out on my a...

I didn't record the entire draft, so I am in no position to critique teams at this point. The draft definitely didn't go as I expected, and the ADP turned out to be a useless tool for this league. A lot of interesting strategies were used, so this looks to be a very challenging league. A few teams w...

Are the rosters loaded?
I'm still showing my link for Chicago 2 in 2006, although it appears most leagues seem to have their teams loaded.

Hello Mr. Nord, I'm glad to see we are in different leaguesas well. I'll be flying into Chicago Saturday morning. I'll probably be first guy at the convention center, so I'll see you when you get there. I like your pick slightly better than mine (pick 11), but with a little luck, anyone can win from...

Hi Poopytooth,
I do remember you from Boxscore BB.
I got the 11th pick in Chicago 2, just like you in NY4, so at least I know one team I can compare my draft to.
Good Luck!

Why Tues or later for order?
Knowing your draft slot only helps you plan the first three rounds, five rounds at the most. Too many draft variations to plan for beyond 5 rounds. I've had many of my draft plans change instantly after my first three picks.. In the end, someone will need a little luck to go with all their prepratio...

Who is "Ryan Howard"! Assuming everyone stays healthy from the top 10 list, my vote is Ryan Howard. It will be hard for him to hit to duplicate his 2006 numbers, and to make my point, I will use a player I selected during the 2006 NFBC draft to make my case. I selected Mark Teixeira 3rd overall pick...

922 for Wily Mo Pena AL League
How much was the next highest bid for Wily Mo? That's what always interests me. If Eddie spent $500 more than he needed to spend, then he might second geuss himself at end of year. If the next highest bid was $800, then it wasn't really that bad of a bid... Personally, I'm second geussing myself for...

NFBC Satellite Pre-Draft Rankings
I was testing out Mock Draft Central, and the pre-draft rankings are going to take a long time to enter. When will our paid leagues appear in our Mock Draft Central accounts? Also, will the draft lists we create be kept for us to use for all mock drafts, or do you have to create a list for each draf...
