Jim Joyce and Angel Hernandez

Almost simultaneously, two of the more outrageous calls you will ever see. How can an umpire take a perfect game away from a guy on that play? About a minute before Jim Joyce's blown call, Angel Hernandez found a way to get his mug extended TV time when he called Sean Rodriguez out going from 2nd to...

X. Nady

This was posted on MLB.com yesterday:

The Yankees made a roster move before today's game, placing Xavier Nady on the disabled list and recalling Dave Robertson from Triple-A.

There can be no excuse that STATS did not get this on a feed from MLB.

DL Roster Move Reminder

Since the guy the Yankees called up to replace Nady on the roster pitched this afternoon, it is not a delayed anouncement.

The NFBC In New York In 2010

I guess I am glad that I only wasted a 29th round draft choice on Sheffield in last night's online draft.

Thank you - Mock Draft Central guys

Just wanted to pass along my thanks to the MockDraftCentral guys for your effort in running the phone leagues. There were some kinks at the start (like everyone having an incorrect phone number to dial-in) that were effectively and quickly fixed so we were able to get moving. My opinion is that the ...

For those of us drafting by phone tomorrow, are the position eligibility lists on the website up to date or will the latest version be emailed to us (or posted on the message board)?

Mets get Santana for a bag of beans

There is no arguing how good Santana is right now and that his acquisition puts the Mets right up with the favorites for the World Series. However, the Twins are not playing for now. They are developing a team to make a run from the low-budget slot in 3-5 years. Maybe the Yankees offer was better. M...
