I would definitely tune in to listen to a "Saul Sorer & Ken Danyon Talk Baseball" podcast.

Re: Looking For Feedback On 2021 Cutline Championship
Why not a DC/Cutline hybrid? You draft 50 players with no FAAB and the scoring is cutline-style. ...or, separately, you use the DC draft and can leverage the same team/league for a cutline? Probably wouldn't work. With DCs you end up with a lot of injured players but at least you're playing 23 agai...

Re: Looking For Feedback On 2021 Cutline Championship
1) I preferred the no-playoff format this year. 2) If you dump the playoffs the season should continue deeper into the season, for sure. 3) If the season is extended another FAAB or two may be needed. 4) Move the first FAAB to the last day of cutline drafts to accommodate early drafters. 5) To make...

Re: MAIN EVENT Lifetime Ranking
just giving feedback like the others b4 me telling KJ "the list didn't make sense". Mark, just to clarify the "didn't make sense feedback" I got was based on the ability of players with a large number of teams to move up the list in spite of mediocre results. That flaw has bothered me for a couple ...

Re: PreMature E-Draftulation League
We can will ourselves to not smoke. Or to not eat. Or not drink as much. We have that within our power. Stanton cannot will himself not to get hurt. He can be as determined as all get out as he has the past couple of seasons. But, it's just hope, not will. Simply, he does not have a baseball player...

Re: MAIN EVENT Lifetime Ranking
Ha, I don’t remember what I did yesterday, let alone anything I asked b4 the season. FWIW, I know it’s the “right” thing to say that winning this year shouldn’t be any lesser of an accomplishment, but we all know it is, even if some can’t/won’t say asterisk. That’s okay, your rankings so you get to...

Re: MAIN EVENT Lifetime Ranking
Apologies for the laziness; however does this partial year (60 games season) factor the same as if it was a full season (162 game season) in your calculations? 37% equivalent to 100%? Even though I know this is a statement, not a question ... team management skills on full display, more than ever t...

MAIN EVENT Lifetime Ranking
OK, so I dabbled in changing methodology for this list last year, but ultimately did not change it. Too much work, plus I really didn't want to change it as I had used the same method for 15 years thru 2018 - I like consistency. But it needed changing because multi-entry teams were overwhelming high...

Re: The Countdown to 600
Hi KJ - You must be just making a general observation about "quitters" as I don't see anyone quitting here. What I do see is a total MLB shit show. Greg's game is still fantastic and the best on the planet; however COVID and MLBs handling of it is turning this all into one big dart throw or a push ...

I don't disagree with you KJ. And you must be reading Keith Olbermann, Joe Sheehan and many others right now!! Yeah. The whiner's circle! The games are fun, each game means more and bad teams are playing better in many cases because they know they have a one-time chance to out-play more talen...

Re: The Countdown to 600
I see lots of quitters and other weak-willed people on social media. And some in real life. They can't wait to quit, or close, or cancel anything, at the first sign of struggle. "It's too hard, just shut it down" - they seem to be rooting for as much. Including lots of sportswriters. Those people h...

Re: Processing the News
Now Manfred says MLB will be lucky to play its full 60 game season. Not sure what that really means. Does it mean that they may miss some games and here and there due to complications, or is he saying that at some point they will probably just have to shut the whole thing down and give up? The latt...

If Freddy bounces back quickly from symptoms it could make other players a lot more comfortable seeing a typical recovery for a healthy young athlete. Rooting for FF.

Re: Welcome To The Sprint Best Ball Private Leagues
I will definitely do some of these. I have been wanting this format for a while, and if i am not mistaken it has never existed. i think, the closest thing was cutline, but cutline has a couple of FAABs. I hope these stick around. I mean nobody really wants to set a lineup every week in Draft Champi...

Re: NFBC Main Event Format For 60-Game Season
OK, I'll play the contrarian: I think that everything should just be pro-rated, like the player salaries, at roughly 37%. So an entry fee of $625 leads to a grand prize of $55,000. If that lower fee generates a higher number entries you can upwardly adjust the payoffs as soon as the season begins. ...
