There will be a "book" on Abreu his second time around the league. If pitchers adjust and he doesn't he will fade. If he can adopt to those changes he will be the "real deal". Time will tell. If I owned him in a trading league I might be willing to hear offers and would consider selling high.

For me it's Beltre so far. Got his 1st HR last night. I was expecting better than 1 HR and 7 RBI through the first week of May. The .264 BA is not helping either... OK, he was hurt, but did nothing before he got hurt anyway. Here's hoping his 1st HR sparks some power. Pete.

Am I missing something? I can't seem to find the "attached" form that we need to fill out if we want direct deposit. I am fine with getting paid via snail mail, but direct deposit seems like a nice option. I've read most of the news letters... Pete

Any updates? I have mixed feelings about the direct deposit option. On the one hand, it's way faster to get direct deposit and I don't have to drive to the bank. On the other hand, I like my wife seeing the check when it arrives.

Even though he missed the middle of the season, Clay Buchholz helped my online team win a Championship this year. I got him in round 18 of the 12 teamer. Another pitcher I bid on (sadly he was my 2nd choice and I got my first) was Masterson.

I like the proposed pitching change. I've been burned several times this season with a starter losing his weekend start due to rain or injury. Agreed. You also have to factor in how hard and fast the ball is coming off the bat. Is the player grounding out slowly to the infield or hitting rocket line drives....

I am not a fan of anonymous teams. If I see a league with one (or more) in them, I don't sign up. I think it's pretty arrogant of anyone to think they are so great they have to hide their identity like Superman disguised as Clark Kent. Get over yourselves already.

Tampa somehow decided it was a wise move to give him an extra day of rest so instead of facing Miami Thursday, he got to throw 11 pitches last night in a terrible rain storm in Cleveland. When I go to "team stats" I can see my players numbers for each individual period. I can see MLB YTD and fantasy YTD. I can even see "on pace for" (which I like). I do ...

As a Fernandez owner for $318 my guess is both of these free agents will be bought for "too much" money. Sometimes the best players are the ones you pay little for, as I did with Josh Donaldson and McLouth. Spend away boys. Maybe one of there gems will be worth the money.
