Re: Trevor Bauer - can he be Cut?
I feel like this rule needs to be removed or clarified for next year. Blake Snell was removed from the player pool in 2019 after his injury in late July even though we knew he'd be out for awhile. Not sure what was different in Snell's case... It could be that all players with a Main ADP in the fir...

Re: 2022 Rule Changes? Saves?
Bottom line is the game is about being challenging and fun, not realistic. That's why I like SB and W as categories but others don't. I think Saves + Holds completely devalue the position, I've heard 2 x Saves + Holds are a nice compromise. I don't think we're anywhere close to that point where we ...

Re: 2022 Rule Changes? Saves?
The motto, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" has apparently, in this generation, morphed into "when the going gets tough, the not-so-tough-minded seek to change the rules to make things easier.” While I will have to have JP crunch the numbers on it to be sure, I doubt the overall numb...

Yes this is a great new feature and you can sort by any contest or time frame. Glad you like it. We are tweeting this out as well to show to more industry people/potential new players. That ADP page gets tremendous traffic in February and March, so every new wrinkle helps. Enjoy. This is a great fe...

There are two different boards, one for the auction portion, one with the reserve snake draft. Go to “My Teams” and open up the one labeled Auction I believe it’s called.

Re: NL and AL Only Auction Leagues - Las Vegas
We will give it another week for the 4 pm AL Auction League, but if we don't get this moving along by next Tuesday we are going to have to make a tough decision. We do have several owners willing to do a $1400 Mixed Auction league at that time and maybe that's an option for this group. But as of no...

Re: NL and AL Only Auction Leagues - Las Vegas
Okay, Dan Semsel is officially in for the NL Auction League and Lindy will take a spot if something changes on Thursday night. We are talking with the seven folks signed up for that Auction Championship league and making sure they all have favorable landing spots if that league falls through. I'm t...

NFBC Chicago Live Events: We Need You...You...You
After some gentle arm twisting today (read: challenging of respective assigned binary birth genders of my boiiiis) we now have 9 (6 are tentative or "interested" ) for the Chicago Auction plus me & Pausma & a possible VIP surprise (his picks are so valued he must for legal purposes remain incognito)...

Re: NL and AL Only Auction Leagues - Las Vegas
Good question. Doesn't matter at all. You still get his stats if he goes from the Diamondbacks to the Yankees. You never lose those stats or the player. Thank you. And what about a player traded into a league after the draft, is he added into the FA pool subject to FAAB acquisition or just removed ...

Re: NL and AL Only Auction Leagues - Las Vegas
After reviewing the rules and not seeing it specifically addressed, and maybe this is obvious to the Only-League guys, but how are post-draft-inter-league trades handled? Is the player removed from the player pool & removed from your team? Good question. Doesn't matter at all. You still get his sta...

Re: Innings Minimum
I am vehemently opposed to any change to the Mimimum IP requirement for reasons well articulated by others below. This puts a premium on the traditional “workhorse” SP consistent with the game itself & forces owners to adopt draft strategies & in-season FAAB managment consistent with ensuring one re...

15. Jay Lyons (tentative) https://media.giphy.com/media/2fXvNjhnat6yk/giphy.gif Mike, a helpful rule of thumb all of us at the Chicago Auction abide by is that even if Jay is paid in full & physically present in the draft room, he is always "TENTATIVE" until the draft is completed in full.

Sorry, but I don't see this as a really tough decision if the customers & not the amount of potential lost revenue & expenses incurred is the overriding factor in the decision-making. NOBODY signed up and put their money down to play a 60 game schedule at the time we drafted, period. Put everyone ba...
