Thanks. Rotoworld, I'm sure, would take issue with Bramdon Belt being called replacement level.

Re: Replacement Level/League "Average" Players

Yeah, it was merely based on OBP/SLG comps so obviously does not factor baserunning and defense like WAR does as an all-encompassing stat. Although, imperfect, I found it interesting. Would like to know replacement level players based on WAR.... or better yet an all-replacement level Fantasy team......

Replacement Level/League "Average" Players

Just catching up on my DVR'd "Clubhouse Confidential" programs....interesting show Friday. They listed a League "Average" team, i.e. players whose OBP/SLG matches closely with comparable league averages for that respective position. They did not factor defense into this nor is this WAR, simply offen...

A thread to single out "slow drafters" (in a slow draft) by name? And someone is "hurt"?

Shocking.

Re: Live Chat With Greg & Tom, Thursday, 3 pm ET

1)Will we have a more visually appealing live scoring (i.e. less cluttered and no irrelevant stats) and in a column format like the old live scoring? I still think the layout on the older live scoring version is superior to the current one and would like to see that format used with the increased sp...

Re: Draft Chamions Roster Construction

I'm rolling with TWO. Screw it, ya gotta rock conventional wisdom once in a while and cheat a position somewhere. I chose to cheat shitty back-up C's and god damn if I don't feel GREAT about it. Just passed up every back-up C in our DC. I do not have room for .220, 5-7 HR guys who play once a week w...

Same BS, different year, Junior. Some will draft faster than others. Deal with it. Like Jay Cutler as my QB and the Cubs' rebuild, I've just learned to accept it and deal with it. Patience, son. Your time...and pick... will eventually come. Tired of all the Slow Draft bitching, solutions, calls to c...

Nice. Good job men. The boyzzz are back in Chi-Town.

And who is that, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength to fill the last Auction spot? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Jack Haan 63:1

If they are working with the nfl then it most likely will only be compatible with nfl.com leagues which i dont know anybody that actually plays on that site for any real money so i would imagine that mlb will work only with mlb.com (which is awful for fantasy baseball).. also i dont know about you ...

Re: The Future Of Live Scoring In Fantasy Sports

Microsoft was involved in one of the panel discussions at the FSTA Trade Conference in Las Vegas last week and they were there to introduce XBox1 and its involvement with fantasy sports. I was unable to attend that panel discussion, but I've heard enough to get very excited about this. Basically, M...

Yeah, I don't mean to come across as defending Braun at all. And I agree with you regarding Braun, but it was a legal/due process argument made at a hearing that the urine collector did not follow the proper protocol. They did not attempt to pay off the urine collector during an investigation. I jus...

It's not obstruction when it was litigated through arbitration and the arbitrator sided with him. Whether you agree with the arguments by his lawyers and the arbitrator's decision, that is due process. Legal arguments at a collectively bargained arbitration hearing in front of an arbitrator is not o...

Re: SOLD OUT: $1000 SLOW DRAFT

I vote for Feb. 17 Draft Start Date. I would prefer a later KDS deadline like a week before draft. Maybe use Feb. 10 as the KDS deadline. I don't see any reason to do KDS a month before the draft, but since I am a rookie I will defer to Max and the majority. Neither is a dealbreaker for me. Looking ...

Re: $400 DRAFT CHAMPIONS PAYOUTS

Greg, Put me down for a $400 Draft Champions' League with this different prize structure. Since I like round numbers, may I suggest a payout of: 1st: $3,000 2nd:$1,000 3rd: $500 Let me know if this is doable and if so sign me up for it. Hopefully this would dissuade punting strategies, but if not th...

Re: $400 DRAFT CHAMPIONS PAYOUTS

I'm just curious...what's the theory behind awarding 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places in each $400 DC league the same amount of prize money when it is not done in the $150 DC leagues? Does this not encourage more punting of category strategies so as to aim to finish in 3rd place and thereby disincentivize pl...
