Re: Dare I Say...The 3rd Fast DC of the Season?!

Put me down as tentative.

If we start this right after Christmas then I can fully commit, but I can't do the pace while at work this coming week. I'm off between Christmas and New Year's (as many others might be) so this would work perfectly then.

Re: The Second Fast DC of the 2016 Season!

Another great day in the books. 11.5 more rounds in a day with a great group of committed assholes making it all work to near perfection. And this was a "slow" day as compared to yesterday. 8-) This is the way they should all go down. Nothing else like it. :D Mike did you recently move to...

Re: What Is The Latest On The Cutline Championship?

To add my thoughts, although I may be repeating general sentiment... I honestly do not want to spend any of my time on Sundays during the season doing FAAB for $125 leagues, even if it is a couple weeks out of the year. If I did a number of Cutline leagues that's too much of a headache for so little...

Re: Place Holders That Need To Be Added To System

This should be a routine every year.

Once we've done our homework in October and early November, a single, comprehensive list of players should be sent to IT a few days before the first Draft Champions league starts that they add, and once the players are added, DC 1 starts.

I did three of these last year and love the DC format, but prefer the 250 or 500 price points. When those open up count me in!

It is very rare I go more than an hour in these leagues, so I'm hoping for around 5 rounds a day.

Re: The 5th Annual, 2016 MTM LIVE NY Super Event Thread

Edit made and will do, Mike. Hope something opens up for you. Either way, it looks like we will be spending some quality time with each other in the Thursday night Main Event if you're thinking about jumping into that one. I thought you were. 8-) Not sure yet. I planned on doing three Main Events: ...

Ranking Players

Does anyone know how the players are ranked in the draft room? Is this using a specific projection system?

Draft Room Corrections

Kris Bryant does not qualify at OF. He played 19 games in the OF last year per baseball reference and mlb.com

Also Greg - I sent you two e-mails of guys who haven't played a game in the majors to add to the list; they do not appear to be there.

Will there be a summary of rules, prize money, etc.? I realize we had a similar post from last year, but was curious if anything has changed.

Re: 2015 NFBC Cutline Scoring Totals

Is it assumed you need to at least draft the typical lineup, 14 hitters (2 catchers, 5 OF, etc.) and 9 pitchers, etc. etc. ?

So why not move the 2500 auction to Saturday evening? Is Easter an issue for some people in that league?

I'd like to do both (2500 auction and super) so I'd go with the super on Saturday

I'd like to get back in the $2,500 Auction in NYC this year, and as Mike said if we can separate the Super with the $2,500 Auction that would be great because I'd like to do both.

Re: Optimal Scoring League Coming To NFBC In 2016

How is the computer going to know what is "optimal" for each league participant? If I am leading the league in SAVES by a large amount but need WINS, and for a particular week my team has 5 saves and 2 wins, how is the computer going to know to pick the players with the 2 wins as part of my optimal...

Re: MLB Wildcard

Let's say MLB decides to go best of 3. How do split home/away? 1-1-1? That's going to stretch out your overall timetable for the playoffs. Best record gets 2-1? 1-2? Probably have to go gm1 to dog and DH day to favorite, so deciding game always on favorite's turf. I like the current system as it al...

Re: Minor fixes

Per cent owned has always been an enigma to me. I agree that we were advised that per cent owned is based on the type of league. So main event leagues should reflect main event leagues and some others ? As an example, in one of my main events, it says Will Middlebrooks is owned in 64.8% of leagues....

Re: Box scores

Bill James came up with it at least twenty years ago. It's a way to quantify in a single number how well a starting pitcher does. Baseball Reference has been doing that for a few years on their home page.

Box scores

For those of you who use the MLB At Bat app, this year they added the starting pitchers game scores in the box scores. Great idea.

They should also count the strikes that are swung-and-missed versus just a total ball-strike count.

I pay the full subscription; I forget if the app itself for box scores is free or not.
