All the talk about Tampa Bay using 2-3 guys to close just got a little clearer. It the "committee" (McClung and Orvella) were sent to the minors.
There may not be many games to save, but it sure does narrow down the field.

Carl Pavano - Opening Day Starter?
I wonder if this might be the first opening day starter to get a round of boos by the home fans!

Time line clarification
A little clarification of the free agent time periods, if you please. Since the first game is Sunday, April 1st, does that mean that the first bidding period ends the Sunday BEFORE (March 25th)??...essentially just for that first game?? Then the second period (for the first full week of games starti...

NFBC ... Watch and Learn
I did just that last fall. I was in Vegas at the time of FB draft and I poked my head in and was allowed to watch. I stayed for about 5-6 rounds just to get the flavor. I even dragged the wife over to see and she was impressed with the way it was run! This year my son and I joined a satellite and wi...

FAAB Question
I will take your word for it on the closers.
Its just difficult to believe since it seemed that we drafted not only closers, but set up men who would be heir to closers and guys who aren't even considered primary setup men!
Should be fun!

FAAB Question
Okay, we just went thru a 15 team, 30 round satellite draft where we picked the bones off of the major league rosters, selecting players that may not even see the major leagues this year. My question for those who have been doing this longer and are more proficiently than I, .....what are we going t...

NYC Friday afternoon draft...parking??
If this helps anyone.... The Weehawkin Ferry leaves every 20 minutes. Its $6 each way and $7 to park. Its one block to the center and, speaking to the rep, they don't expect a problem due to St. Patty's. They put 300 on a boat, starting at 8am and running to 1:10am. The parade starts at 11am on 44th...

NYC Friday afternoon draft...parking??
I've done the ferry. Its alright, but I thought it was more than 5 bucks. I could be wrong. I don't remeber if they charge you to park at the ferry. If so, then $10 round trip and another, say $10 to park....I guess if you add in the tunnell toll its still cheaper. I'm bringing my son, so its $20 fo...

I'm coming in too ( from NJ) and trying to find a way around the $30-40 garages. I park in NYC often and its either that or a $95 ticket (which I've gotten often too!)They also post rates for cars and you don't see the small print for mini-vans--$25 extra!
