Re: Trea Turner

What's the problem with Turner? :) I don't know how the cutline scoring works but in standard leagues I'd still take Turner ahead of everyone except Betts and Trout for rest of the year. -9 so far this week and the worst player on my team, once again (we're talking 27 bench players including C, tha...

Re: Trea Turner

you are wondering why you are top 5? How the hell did you manage to pick up Turner, Scherzer and Kluber first 3 picks???? You have a great team... Good luck!!! Gates LOL Gates, I was as stunned as anyone when Scherzer was available in the 2nd, and then Kluber in the 3rd (although hitters seem to ru...

Trea Turner

To think I drafted this guy in the first round ahead of the likes of Harper, Machado, Betts, Lindor, Ramirez; and I'm still in the top 10 overall in the Cutline is lucky...too think how much better I could have been if only...oh well, he won't be on any of my teams next year!

Re: Reminder: Final Cutline FAAB Is TONIGHT

Good question, one hitter I picked up is showing in my starting lineup, but two SP (totaling 41pts) are on my bench and one SP that was already on my team with 14pts so far, are all on my bench...while I have a bunch of SP with 0 points in my starting lineup. Hopefully the live scoring starts workin...

Re: 3 Cutline changes that need to be made

Ditto. Faab is in 3 days. Any chance we will be able to sort the Cutline faab list by points scored to date by then? Sorting by % owned or some individual stat just doesn't cut it for Cutline. I can't believe this isn't available yet, seems like a big oversight! And no word from Tom or Greg on if t...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

Just became apparent at least one owner in my league was under the impression you can’t make picks while the clock is paused overnight. If there’s a misunderstanding of the clock pause by 1 or more in every league it explains a lot. How can NFBC get the word out to newbies to let them know to keep ...

Re: Here's The Plan For Draft Champions Leagues

How about, in the 4-hr DC, any team that times out after the 30th rd automatically goes on auto (they cannot remove auto unless they give you some excuse and you decide to take off auto). After two time outs, then even you won't take auto off. We just had a team TO in the 32rd one-minute before the ...

Re: New 4hr DC League Format

Well, this drafter is now going to take the full 4-hrs on this next pick, so a total of 16hrs for two picks...so basically, it's the same as him taking the full 8hrs for both rounds if this were an 8-hr draft. Six of one, 1/2 dozen of the other I suppose...a bad apple or two will ruin any slow draft...

New 4hr DC League Format

While at first I was in favor of the new 4hr timer with the clock pausing overnight, but I've noticed these drafts can take longer than the previous 8-hr drafts. My current league we are 1/2 way and on a pace of almost 4-weeks. We have an owner who always seems to be on the clock about 2-hrs before ...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

Why people, especially "vets", complain when a slow draft takes awhile to complete is beyond me, just join an express and stop complaining! I've been in some leagues with you and usually agree with your opinion, but you're way out of bounds on this "rant", sorry! just curious, would you publicly su...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

sounds like the NFBC doesn't need "vet money" in the 4 hour DC leagues. once they get an avg time per pick per owner posted, i can cherry pick leagues if i need to. let all the slow bastards be in leagues by themselves. draft would take 2-3 months to complete. they can get exactly what they d...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues

I have a feeling you weren't a big fan of the 8-hr timer! :) I have no issues, if I did, I would join the express drafts...but that won't happen because I work and travel quite a bit. I have no issues with these drafts taking about 3-weeks (although the 4hr timer should make these closer to 2-weeks ...

Re: New draft site

Bruce, it's next to the My Teams in your draft room. If you set it up for multiple rounds it will be used for every round you select. If you want to be on auto for two rounds, select two rounds, three rounds select three rounds etc. The players picked will go in order of those in your queue or the ...

Re: New draft site

It's per round. So if you put 10 SPs in first and then 10 OFs, it will take the players listed in order each round. We don't have it set up to auto by position at this time though it is something we're looking into for the future. So I may end of with (2) SP's instead of (1) SP and (1) OF? I'm conf...

Re: New draft site

1. The green button is on next to the person's name if they are in the room. 2. In the upper right next to My Teams there is a Settings icon. Click that and you can set your auto for as many rounds as you want. That's the same Auto Draft that is upper left under the clock timer. I see where you can...

New draft site

1.) Can you tell if someone is in the draft room?
2.) Is there an auto-two pick option, as well as the previous auto-one? I only see an auto draft option.

The teams that got eliminated from the championship bracket make up those other 80 teams in the wild card bracket. Hope that helps. Yeah, helps to read all the playoff rules, not just the wildcard...seeing that I was eliminated from the championship rd, I bothered not to read it! :) Thank you...no ...

Re: Rian Lange Leads NFBC Cutline Championship Week 20

Thanks Rotofan, good luck to you to! Hey Greg/Tom; Why does the wildcard round show 102 teams, according the rules, should be top 20: "The Top 20 teams after removing the Top 2 teams in the Wild Card Tier move on to Round 3 in the Wild Card Tier. All other Wild Card teams are eliminated." I'd much r...

Re: Rian Lange Leads NFBC Cutline Championship Week 20

Just missed making the Cutline championship by about 8pts, will shoot for the wildcard championship. With 5 SP and 5 Hitters on the DL the last couple weeks, I'm amazed I even made it close: Duffy (went on DL Friday, missed start today, which may have been the difference) McCullers Paxton King Felix...

Re: The reason I love fantasy baseball

Spot on Phil, couldn't agree more...I also love the fantasy baseball cutline, one of the best games around. When it comes to Roto leagues, if you are not in the top 1/3 of the league come July 1st, you are pretty much done. That's why I like my neighborhood H2H league, at least you have a chance eve...

Re: I can't explain this math (cutline)

Since it’s optimal lineups, we are closing off the scoring changes at week's end. if we go back previous periods to update scoring, so much can change that would make it tough to determine the correct score. A player’s position eligibility can change, which would obviously affect the optimal scorin...
