Re: A Stat I Would Love to See...
Technically it would be doable because there are ways to value players based on an average team but I assume it would take a lot of time to program, wouldn't be perfect because of injuries and because every team is different so I don't think it's worth it for what it would give.

Any chance to make that retroactive? 12th place last year was a heart breaker.

Re: Scheduled Games
I think the schedule should stay as is on the set lineup page until the scheduled game time is passed. It's a little confusing because if I want to make changes to my lineup right now, I have to remember the Phillies were supposed to play tonight otherwise I think I have until tomorrow.

Re: DL spots
Flowers, Zunino, Realmuto and Perez are all hurt. Take away the 4 best catchers from the free agent pool and the next guy who loses a catcher would get stuck with the 5th best. No DL forces you to make a decision.

Re: DL spots
I'm 100% against DL spots. The Free Agents are already somewhat limited in a 15-team league, if you remove the top 30 players from the free agent pool, the options would be even more limited.

Re: Let's Compile The Latest Updates In This Thread
A little bug I noticed in the Overall Standings. In the Chg column for some reason there's a "-" in front when teams move up
in the standings and nothing when teams move down. I believe it should be the opposite.

Re: NFBC Random Slot Generator BLOWS
We all trust the NFBC with our money yet some people don't trust them with a random draft spot generator that barely has any impact (if any at all) on the final results... Really?

Re: Suggested fixes - Set Lineup webpage
I noticed a little bug which shouldn't be too complicated to fix. I like being able to arrange pitchers in a specific order: starters at the top from best to worst and then closers at the bottom just to make things visually easier. If I switch 2 pitchers already in my starting lineup and click save ...

Re: New FAAB
I think one nice feature would be to add a column called Last Week or whatever with the options "New", "Dropped" or "Free Agent" and allow to filter based on that column in the drop down menus. This would allow to quickly see with Free Agents were dropped last week and might be of interest and also ...

Agreed, love being able to copy a group and then replace the dropped player in the 2nd group and then drag and drop to change the order if needed.

Re: 2 Spots Left: Main Event Online Wednesday, 8 pm ET
NOW ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT in the 2018 NFBC Main Event. Great job everyone. It's also so good to see some new faces on this final Main Event list as the extra day allowed several owners to jump into our signature event on the final day of drafting. Good luck all and enjoy. Please set your KDS preference...

Re: NFBC Random Slot Generator BLOWS
Take an Excel spreadsheet, use the RAND() function and test it out for yourself. I did a quick test for fun and if you take 15 different owners who each do 15 drafts. Generally about 1/3 of them will never get the 1st pick and another 1/3 will have it more than once. You could do 30 drafts and never...

Re: Set Lineup, First FAAB & Free Agent List ???
Maybe it's because I'm young but I love the look of the new website, looks really modern. Draft room worked great, FAAB, looks much simpler to use, changing teams is very useful and menus are intuitive. I also love how the Own & Start % is just for the Main Event now has opposed to all leagues. The ...

Re: In the Year 2018, 25/25
Nice post.
I'll let everyone else worry about getting their 25/25 or 20/20 guys, meanwhile I'll try and build a team of 17 hitters than will go in and out of the starting lineup and will get me the magic 340/150 for the Main Event

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues
I'm kinda hoping the clock reductions in current drafts come fairly soon. I would rather see a gradual reduction of the clock, rather than just a big reduction at the end. Four hours to three hours would at least be a nudge in four hour drafts. My draft is in its ninth day and 16th round. A no hope...

Re: quality starts VS wins
Perhaps the new "WIN" could be most IP less ER allowed. No calculator needed, not perfect but perhaps better? In many instances there will be a tie for IP-ER, the W for any tie is awarded to the one who pitched last (presumed higher leverage innings). If starter goes 6 and allow 3 ER, he is +3, so ...

Re: quality starts VS wins
If you compare 2016 and 2017 to 2008 and 2009 which were the last 2 years where the starter ERA's were similar then it's 1694 to 1634 so about a 4% drop.DOUGHBOYS wrote:Mostly 1700's to mostly 1600's is a pretty good downward trend.
100 less Wins than just five years ago is a pretty good downward trend.

Re: quality starts VS wins
Here is how total starter wins have evolved since 2008: 2008: 1682 2009: 1706 2010: 1736 2011: 1716 2012: 1738 2013: 1658 2014: 1706 2015: 1673 2016: 1628 2017: 1640 I don't see anything drastic there and I'd argue that part if not most of the decrease in wins in the past 3 years is due to the juice...

Re: quality starts VS wins
I agree that wins are somewhat random but I hate quality starts as well. Quality starts would be a pure starter stat which would increase the gap between Starters and Relievers and make non closers completely useless. Quality starts would also basically just double down on ERA. I'm not really agains...

Re: Waiting for news
I still think the success of these slow drafts goes through a total time clock by drafter. The problem with bring the clock down to 1 hour is that even if most owners can make 90% of their picks within 30 minutes, that one or two times where you have something else can hurt your team. A total time c...

Re: Slow pokes and Draft Champion Leagues
I agree that a rule is a rule and it needs to be fixed or followed but I'm just saying it's getting blown out of proportion. If you timeout in the 15th round, you get the the best available player who might be Aaron Sanchez and if you timeout in the 20th you get Brent Honeywell. You could also argue...
