Re: MLB is a joke
Mets fans are pathetic, plain and simple. They are whiners when they lose and insecure when they win. For those complaining of the (p)wussification of the game, please make a video using the following instructions and post it for the rest of us. 1. Go to you local batting cage. 2. Dial the speed to ...

Re: NO STATS
I'm an official scorekeeper. Unlike what people think, we make few hard decisions. The rules of scorekeeping define our job for us. I would like one thing to change. That instance happened today in the ARI-PIT game. GerrIt Cole pitched five innings and left the game with the lead. In one inning, Sc...

False Promise
Trevor Story is Domonic Brown. And he's Austin Kearns. In 2013, Domonic Brown had a breakout season hitting .272 with 27 HR, 83 RBI, and 8 SB. At age 26, he was finally fulfilling the promise he had shown as the Phillies' top prospect, and was heading into his age 27 season ready to be the next big ...

I like the bat flip. If pitchers don't like it, they should stop giving up homers Won't have to see it then.

I think knucklehead is really Ron Shandler in disguise. It's funny that you say it's still "early" for Chris Archer and Dallas "3rd round" Keuchel, yet its over for Carlos Correa. Lets see what the whole year looks like before comparing Carlos Correa to Freddy Galvis. Congrats on your predictions!!...

My favorite part of this debate is the part where Correa crooners get to argue the success of Correa in 2 day spurts, while I get to argue his failures for 35 days at a time.mattjb wrote:And today. Don't count today for Correa either...

Re: Top 5s
Funny how much attention on Correa when Goldy has been far worse. Stanton lower on the player rater too. And the 'terrible' start from Correa still has him as a 20/20 player. That's because we all know what Goldschmidt does across an entire season. Nobody knows what Correa does across the whole sea...

I'm not ready to bury Correa yet. He hasn't been a top 10 pick but he hasn't been awful. "Automatic" Dallas Keuchel and "Cy Young winner" Chris Archer? Now that's awful. you are amazingly average knucklehead. But keep hi fiving yourself with your average predictions  . Hasn't been awful...

It's always a little depressing when the last draft is finished for the year, but I find some solace in perusing the draft boards of other ME leagues. There are always surprises, and some shocks. Re: My prayer
One thing I know I do wrong and absolutely have to correct. In my job all day I look for value and have to be risk adverse. Having visible ADP's is the worst thing that ever happened to me. I used to simply draft the guys I liked and push the envelope. Now I look for value. I tend to end up with na...

Re: Should the Angels trade Mike Trout?
Mike Trout should not be traded, ever. He alone is a reason to go the ballpark. It is a reason other players will sign FA contracts with the Angels. His bargain contract is what makes Pujols contract okay for the next five years, because Trout is worth his contract and Pujols' added together.

Player B is not even the early '90s Buffalo Bills, lovable losers that they were.
Player B is the 2000s Philadelphia Eagles, a perennial playoff team that had one good shot at the title and missed it. (Admittedly, the Eagles may have been better than the Patriots that year).

Trump has an interesting choice. He can't pick a candidate as ridiculous as himself because of electability issues. He can't take anyone too establishment friendly because the Republicans will happily join Democrats the first time there's a chance to impeach him. Given his total lack of qualificati...

Re: On Pace
Seriously,
I'm pretty sure this would take someone in IT 3 minutes to fix. To help identify the problem, on player pages On Pace is currently multiplying stats year-to-date by 162 games instead of projecting what stats year-to-date would be "On Pace" for over 162 games.

May I sum up the insanity of the outrage of this thread by pointing out that everyone posting on this thread has paid $150-to-$15,000 per league to participate in pretend baseball leagues.
I can't believe I'm losing to you guys.

Re: Top 5s
For those who inquired, Marte was rested to make sure his hand was perfect. Goldy was given a maintenance day off due to immense respect, but Correa was benched 2 weeks into the season.
Marwin Gonzalez is now batting .500 on days Correa sits. This may become a trend.
