Weekly Article on the Main Event

For those of you who don't know, I'm writing a weekly article on the Main Event Contest. It's a free article on spstreamer.com, and it covers some key stats for the overall contest, the weekly FAAB adds & drops, as well as the leading Main Event teams and the leaders in each of the 43 Main Event lea...

Re: The NFBC Live Events Tentative Schedule For 2019

Chad: Apologies - I just went back (I did not make a reservation yet) and it definitely depends on how many days you put in. The expensive dates are the Thursday - Saturday March 21-23. Those are all 170+ even with the code. If you add in dates before or after you can get REALLY cheap per night rate...

Re: The NFBC Live Events Tentative Schedule For 2019

Greg: It appears that the code KJ offered is working, even though it does not give quite the same cheap rate anymore. I was able to see a quote of $89.90 per night for a Queen Bed Room for example. Do you think your code will be cheaper or would you recommend just taking that if we can finalize that...

Re: Free Agency Tab Will Save You Lots of FAAB Time

Same for me - I was able to see the free agency information for a while yesterday, then it disappeared. Only ones now available are - News Season Stats Weekly Stats Game Log Fantasy Transactions . Did something change? Tried another browser and logging out/in. Great feature - let me know how I can r...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

My Tier 1 is smaller Napoli/Santana/McCann Tier 2 Montero/Wieters/Avila/Posey/Mauer Tier 3 Arencibia/Molina/Soto/Buck/Suzuki OK - last one for me and thanks for the insight, Todd. If someone forced you to draft other positions such that you did not get a top six 1B (Pujols, Cabrera, Votto, Gonzalez...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

OK, you're definitely not a subscriber (at least not yet 8-) ) otherwise you would be higher on Haren, I have him in the Hamels/Lincecum range. I think you are shorting Gallardo some K's which makes him the best of the other three. Then I am not quite as high on Garza, still a FB guy in Wrigley, so...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

Umm, you sure you are not a subscriber to my site? That's almost an exact snapshot of my projections for each. In terms of $VAL, I have Hamels at $21 and Lincecum at $19. Thanks (I think) because I am not a subscriber (at least not now!). If I carry this line of questioning further - how would...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

Would you agree that Hamels, with an ADP of 47 would be a better pick than Lincecum, with an ADP of 31? I realize Hamels is more of an injury risk, but that is a big difference in ADP. If you assume both pitch a little over 200 innings, the W and ERA should be about equal, and Lincecum's advantage i...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

Hey Todd - one follow-up to my previous question...in a 15 team mixed like the NFBC Slow Drafts w/o waiver adds how would you differ with the final rough configuration below given that each team accumulates 50 players? Thanks! 1B/3B/CR - 6 2B/SS/MI - 6 C (2 start) - 4 OF - 10 SP - 12 RP - 12 Total -...

Re: NFBC Live Chat With Todd Zola: Thursday At 7 p.m. EST

Hey Todd - thanks in advance for the chat and your insight My question is - in a 15 team mixed like the NFBC Slow Drafts you have to choose to some extent where you'll try to be strong and where you will try to fill in with lesser players (esp w/o waiver adds). I realize that the best answer is that...
