Re: $125 DC Auction and $250 DC Auction coming soon

I can do either night for the $250, but prefer Sunday. I prefer the DC portion to be slow but I might be in the minority here.

Re: Cutline Playoff Standings Now Live

So if my first half average was 600...

Period 1 total (3 days) = A
Period 2 total (1 week) = B
Period 3 total (1 week) = C
Period 4 total (1 week) = D

My final Round 1 total is 600 + A + B + C + D ?

Relief pitchers have TJ surgery as well. This is not exclusive to starting pitchers.

This one's a bit of a head scratcher. The functionality of this worked fine in years past but this year the calculations are all out of whack.

Re: SP - Jerad Eickhoff

1. VV 2. Eickhoff (but close to VV) 3. Nola Don't get me wrong, I like eickhoff a lot, but that's due to his impressive curveball. If he can't control any given night, he does not have a fastball that scares anyone Eickhoff is the weakest of the three. There have been comparisons to Matt Shoemaker ...

Re: HOW CAN THIS GUY LOSE WITH 68 TEAMS

The guy came in second overall one year and then won it all the next year. Why you're even arguing whether or not he is "elite" is ridiculous, especially considering the guy is not here boasting about his success nor asked to be put under the microscope. COZ I am by no means questioning the man's c...

Re: HOW CAN THIS GUY LOSE WITH 68 TEAMS

[quote="JohnP"] Using your "sheer luck" argument you could argue that by "sheer luck" he will have a bunch of teams that end up near the bottom as well? [quote] Sheer luck does not mean you'll have a bunch teams near the bottom. Your "tails" of your distribution will mean that you'll have less teams...

Re: HOW CAN THIS GUY LOSE WITH 68 TEAMS

In 2015, this same owner had 49 Teams in the 2015 Rotowire O.C. at a cost of $16,350 (with the 3 team discount). He did not finish in the money Overall. He did win (4) 1st and (7) 2nd place league prizes with the 49 Teams: 1st place = 4 x $1400 = won $5,600 2nd place = 7 x $700 = won $4,900 So all ...

Re: HOW CAN THIS GUY LOSE WITH 68 TEAMS

Main Event = 6 TEAMS The Main Event is still the Main Event.....but it's not the same. I understand the economics of multiple weekends and the online option for Greg and the NFBC when it comes to the ME, but it has in my mind degraded the event. I know I not alone in this thought. There have been s...

Re: NFBC Cutline Championship FAAB Pointers

To confirm...

If you are adding a player to your squad, numbers 37 through 41, the "Drop:" section of your bid should stay blank like:

--------------------------------------

Add: Schmoe, Joe (C)
Drop: --DROP--

--------------------------------------

Correct?

I had Pollock and Schwarber in an auction. We're barely four games into the season and that team is screwed.

Re: NFBC Cutline Championship FAAB Pointers

Ok I get it now. When you click on the contingency bid icon, I never noticed the "Add" icon change next to the players name on the left hand side. The process is a bit illogical. When you first click the contingency bid icon, at the very least an empty ADD/DROP should appear in the "a" layer below t...

Re: NFBC Cutline Championship FAAB Pointers

Maybe some more context. I've never used the contingency bid icon in the past because I cannot see the linkage between bid 1 and bid 2, if they were to be in the same "block" or "string". Given if you bid on players X Y and Z and you were dropping player A with each bid, those are a natural string. ...

Re: NFBC Cutline Championship FAAB Pointers

But a bid stream is usually determined by who you drop. If there's nobody to drop, how do you differentiate between the 37th add to your roster versus the 38th add? You are only awarded one player per string. You can have a string of five players - all of which are uncontested but you only get one....

Re: NFBC Cutline Championship FAAB Pointers

This leads to an issue. Let's say for the first slot I want to bid 200 on a number of players. How does the system know that I only want those bids for the one slot so that I avoid using up all my FAAB money? Only one player should be awarded for each bid string as is the case in other leagues, I p...
