I've been saying this for years. Give Fantasy owners their Sunday back in the summer.

It's tough beating a team that smashed 36 HRs with 95 RBI.
Congrats on a great run and season.

2019 Baseball Content
With the regular baseball season less than two days away, I thought I'd give away my content/research for the 2019 season that I wrote for ScoutFantasySports.com away. It is in word form with about 420 pages of info. Just send me an E-mail to Childs.Shawn@gmail.com. In exchange, I'll add you to the ...

Re: DL spots
The aim would be to help teams with multiple injuries at the same time What’s the justification for “helping teams”? You want a safety net for managers who draft injury prone players? It sounds like you want to take away the skill from the game and turn it into a lottery. Do you read what you write...

Re: FAAB Delays
When I change a bid, I need to trust it isn't going to change. I keep switching multiple players to $1 instead of $4, but it keeps switching the $1 back to $4. The system also reports an error of a player having a higher bid the player higher than it, but it is the same or lower.

Therefore a trip to the DL is actually a win in batting average.Ando wrote:I have none, Shawn. You know this.
But it is contrary to the data and belief that a player with ~1700 PA in his career carrying a .209 AVG is somehow classified a "STUD".

Re: DL spots
I would suggest to the original poster that he develops a game strategy of roster construction that does not involve taking a C in the first 15 rounds. It puts the responsibility on the owner and makes those 2 positions of C less damaging if and when one or both get hurt. My opinion (not statistica...

Re: DL spots
The first poster is 100 percent correct. Any team that suffers an injury is punished in two ways. He loses a starting player plus his bench is compromised. With multiple injuries, a Fantasy owner is forced to make tough decisions to keep a competitive lineup each week. With each week that passes for...

Re: Main Event from the 6 Spot.
This draft season was very interesting and many Fantasy owners wanted to be pitching strong. As good as it looks, the offensive production in runs, HRs, and RBI can be tricky with this plan if you don't get the right team structure. The pitching looks good across the board while batting average and ...

Re: 2018 LABR AL & NL Rosters For Shawn & Greg
The AL team is going to be in the hunt. It has enough offense to be competitive in power and speed. The pitching staff has to earn enough to offset the weakness in batting average to win the league. The NL format just doesn't have enough talent to fill out $260 of rosters for 12 teams. Most owners o...

Better yet, CATCH a Golden Knight game. It is not your ordinary expansion franchise. Critics will tell you expansion rules were too lenient that they created an instant Stanley Cup contender! And the people of Vegas say thank you to those haters. We also thank Mark Davis hiring Jon Gruden...Chucky’...

Great to see you added some lower end Fantasy players. Some of these will grow into High Stakes players via winnings or life path in the job market. The overall and missing part of the high stakes market in the NFBC and NFFC over the last few years is the depth of owners to separate the long time ow...

Re: How About A $100,000 Grand Prize In The NFBC Cutline?
I'll go off the grid here. Rather than league prizes, could you just have a prize pool that has enough length to pay 10 to 20 percent of the owners? (Not sure how deep you paid overall prizes in the past). Or something like if you qualify for the championship round, you earn your entry back. In the ...

Re: Drafting VALUE=Less Risk
5. All a good draft does is put you in a position to do well. In addition to the obvious examples of injuries, under-performance by some players and over-performance by other players, much of a team's success will depend upon how they do in FAAB and, also, their decisions to start and bench certain...
