Re: April 29th Gameday Thread
Nicasio was supposed to pitch yesterday in Colorado. His best start of the year will be on the bench.

Re: April 21st Gameday Thread
There are more platoons in baseball this year than I can remember. Rougned Odor not playing against a lefty tonight. He is supposed to be a future superstar. That's not the way to give experience to a future star. The team that has the most at bats in your league will have the most points in offense...

Re: What's The Early Feedback On The NFBC Cutline?
I'm enjoying the Cutline very much. I think the drafts were fast enough that they could be expanded to 38 rounds. Then I would do the first FAAB to expand to 40. The FAAB period was too onerous in my opinion. If you had injured players you could still drop them and get to 40. Maybe the second FAAB c...

Re: $$HIGH ALERT$$ Jarrod Saltalamacchia
I think Brandon Moss screwed Hazelbaker with his two home runs. Holliday was all set to play first base.

Percentage owned
I notified Greg that I think these numbers need to be looked at in the various contests. As an example, Gekko posted in another thread that Hazelbaker was picked up in every main event but one. I picked him up but the percent owned in the main event shows 33 percent. Matt Wisler shows the same owner...

Re: Mazara
In my first thread, there would be many players listed under Mazara in the 300 to 500 range. So I am getting one top player in my first thread. The issue I have is the construction of the next four threads, the one I call the cheaply threads. There I assume I got Mazara and have only 50 dollars left...

Re: Mazara
I'll try one more. I'm all in on Mazara. That's my strategy. I'll bid 950 on him. It leaves me 50 if I get him. I am not going to drop a player so I have four other bid streams to get 4 players with my 50. I will list four bid streams consisting of many many 12 dollar players . I am looking for any ...

Re: Mazara
I bid 1000 on Mazara. I had to win him -- right. Oh no he wasn't available. I didn't really do that but it could have happened. Someone bid 1000 on Trevor Story.

Bk I read your message again. Top bid totaling more than your budget. I've never done that. I think I need to go back to the drawing board.

Re: Mazara
Bk mets, it's the second thread at issue. If I have Mazara at 700 at the top of my first string, then how much can the top bid be in the second string--300. If no Mazara second string starts higher.

Re: Mazara
Actually Greg, I advised you about Mallex Smith. But you didn't advise me he was ineligible so I spent 45 minutes trying to squeeze him in my bids. It never dawned on me that Mazara was ineligible. I assumed FAAB locked at 7 a.m. Monday morning. I'm stupid for not rereading the rules. If I had not b...

Re: Mazara
Thanks Glenneration x for your response. It's an odd situation. Unlike Gekko's Venable example, Mazara's ineligibility was discovered by the NFBC before the FAAB was run. I can't believe the computer deemed him ineligible on its own without some manual intervention. So that leaves the question why t...

Re: Mazara
Glenneration X, if you don't mind sharing. Did you bid on Mazara in the Cutline. If not, was it based solely on your interpretation of the rules? Thanks.

Re: Mazara
Calling on NFBC veterans. In years past, if a player was wrongly in the FAAB pool, the ruling was he shouldn't have been in there but everyone got the same chance to bid on him so no harm no foul. Do you ever remember FAAB results being released which said a player was ineligible?

Re: Mazara
I only have one question. There are some really strong players in my leagues (who I'm sure will do very well) who got two top free agents and are left with a few dollars. I don't think they could have bid the way they did if they bet on Mazara and I don't believe they would have left Mazara on the t...

Re: Cutline free agent bids
I got royally screwed by the Mazara situation. He was on the free agent list. I bid high on him in a string so that I had to lower bids on other players in other strings. Surprise I did poorly. Good night.

Re: Cutline free agent bids
If you can only go from 36 to 41 players, I don't see how limiting the length of bid string would create more strings.

Re: Cutline free agent bids
I agree. The bidding strings are too long. That's an understatement. I think maybe the strings can be limited to a length of 20. If you don't bid enough to get someone, that's the way it goes. Something to consider.

Re: Cutline scoring not picking optimal points for the MI po
It looks like points for players who did well on Sunday are not registering. Dozier hit a HR on Sunday. It's leaving my Joe Ross who won Sunday and got 23 points on the bench for period one.

Re: 4/10/16 - $$FAAB TARGETS$$
I wanted to bid on Micah Johnson. I evaluated all the free agents and he was my sleeper this week. Now his price just went up. Is this fair? ………. Just kidding. I need this entertainment now that American Idol is done.
