FAAB - Week 3

I'm not banging anyone for picking up Ogando. I' just trying to understand the thinking of spending big on unknowns. He is an unknown. He only has two pitches, a slider and FB. Most succesful starters have at least three. The Yanks waited him out, they knew when the sliders were coming and they laid...

FAAB - Week 3

I beleive he had 1K, 3 walks... Yanks showed other teams how to adjust to Ogando. His fastball was very hittable the second time through the lineup. my point is how can 2 week wonders be worth hundreds of FAAB when they werent good enough to get drafted... looking at some of the bids again this week...

FAAB - Week 3

All these two week wonders that go for hundreds of dollars... makes no sense. Ogando last week and he runs up against a good team and gets lit up tonight... so much for his 0.00 era...

Have a Grea time! Family time is always extremely important and Disney is the greatest for the kidneys! During football season, I sit at the bar by the pool outside the Contemporary Resort Hotel, while they all shop..lol

Mauer to DL

Mauer has been out for the past two games, but the news still comes as a major surprise. Bilateral leg weakness is a condition often related to nerve or spinal cord issues and can be quite serious when at its worst. Mauer will visit a specialist in Baltimore this weekend. The light-hitting Drew Bute...

Josh Hamilton hurt - strained shoulder

All these high priced players going down with injury. Never seen anything lile it the past few years. The more $$$ they make the more likley they are to get hurt. Me says lazy off-seaons and out of shape athletes that cannot stand the rigors of 162 games. Players in yesteryear, who had to work for t...

Gotta luv the big spenders early.... never understood blowing budget and handcuffing yourself for later in the year... I agree pricing rookie pitchers early is dicey. I for one will not be bidding anywhere close to 200-500 for this puppy.

160-175 innings as long as they are in contention. the minute they are not, it drops to 130 or so and possible shutdown in September just like the Jays did last with Morrow. I agree the Yanks could very well light this kid up this week! They wont bit on the breaking stuff.

Shallow Thoughts....

Seen a bunch of Games on mlb and it seems a lot of stadiums are more empty than usual. Attendance figures dont mean anyhting. Even the first 5 yankee games I could not believe the Empty seats... I guess gas and economy are starting to hit attendance hard....

First FAAB Week 1

All those bidding mucho dinero on Contreras must thave Broxton on their teams. He has not been the same since last June when the Yankees scored 6 runs off him in the 9th and he threw 49 pitches in that inning. He's getting hit up tonight again.. oh and his velocity is down too... 92-95 and very litt...

On Behalf Of The NFBC - Thank You

I'll say one thing about Liberty Media - they made good on all the Free Entry prizes within the last month. And I'm sure Greg probably had something to do with that happening. Thanks to Greg and Tom for getting NFBC up and running and without any major issues. Amazing Job!
