Re: Many have asked, so here it is…….

To the avg reader of this post and the previous one that was deleted for obvious reasons, I for one still cannot understand any of it. If the intent was to air it publicly, everyone has Won on that score, but quite frankly the whole thing is Sad, as Glen wrote. If the intent was to show that some of...

Re: Jeter's Farewell

Red Sox put on a very classy tribute to Jeters Career, Well Done Sox Nation! My 7 yr old Daughter was watching with me and when she heard it was Jeters last at bat/hit and they took him out of the game and that he would not be paying anymore she started crying, and I asked her why and she said, He i...

Re: Jeter's Farewell

Obviously, everyone knows I am NOT a Yankee fan and this year has been so ridiculous with Jeter's farewell tour, that I have wanted to gag, at times. But, that being said, my 2 boys, who love and play baseball, and thankfully, love the Mets, watched the Yankee game from the first pitch last night t...

GREAT PLAYER, GREAT MAN.... Brought 20 years of fun to my family...and best of all, a role model I could speak to kids about on how to play the game the right way, how to act and respect others and parents. Baseball is a changin

The dearth of offense combined with the growing length of games has become epidemic in baseball. This is the first time in history the average length of games will exceed three hours. The 8.16 runs per game is the lowest in a full season since the 7.99 in 1976, according to the Elias Bureau. The 1.7...

Re: Tulo and Cargo

Don't disagree with any of that about Tulo Dan - all the more reason though to avoid him the first few rounds... way too much risk... as for next year, I wouldn't even touch him until I seem play in a spring game... Everything that comes out will say he will be ready for next season for marketing pu...

Re: Tulo and Cargo

They are both damaged goods. Tulo will be 30 in 2 months, Cargo, 29. They'll each probably have a season where they might play 150 games over the next 5 years, problem is, which year does it happen. I think Tulo is done is as SS with his type of injury. Cargo, who knows, either he recovers 100% with...

Tulo and Cargo

Both are Fools Gold the past few years. Now both appear Gone for the season, Tulo with possible Hip Labrum issue ala Arod and Cargo with CC's disease, the old degenerative knee problem. How far do they fall in next years drafts and do some see them as undraftable in rounds 1-2?

Re: More PED suspensions coming?

Anyone who read some of my posts last year, knows I wrote about these ongoing investigations and that further players would be named. What is going on now with the DEA, FEDS, and other agencies is just the tip of the ice berg. There are multiple Federal Grand juries impaneled across the country targ...

Re: Trade Deadline

I guess my prior criticisms of the Rays' haul for Price were not totally accurate. Looks like they also got a young but pretty good prospect as well. I never heard of the guy, but it seems he was an integral part of the deal. Should've suspected there was more than just Smily and Franklin coming ba...

Re: 1st Half Facts & Figures From MLB

Nice post Greg on all the Stat info. As for thoughts, with the new testing in effect, and PED use way down, seems pretty convincing PEDS played a big role on offense the 25 years prior to 2010. Actually offensive stats have been in decline the past 3-4 years, which just coincides with all new testin...

Re: Draft Kings Buys Draft Street

When a major VC player like Dillar pulls the plug after only a year, one has to wonder why, although his model is to dump losers pretty quick. This deal is a asset deal probably for nickels on the dollar. Word on the street is DS was underwater/losing big time and that DK may also be too. DK also ac...
