I didn't understand why DL'ed pitchers couldn't be replaced as well, until I just read Greg's response. I completely see the issue now and agree. So, how about something this . . . . Each year each team gets 1 or 3 (whatever the number is - I would think 3 would be the absolute max) pitcher swap out...

IMHO, DFS is a fad, at least in baseball. I think there's way too much luck involved in the Daily league. Certainly, I see a level of skill if you compare a daily baseball league to a flip of a coin. But, you're basically trying to figure out what a player may do in a sample size of 4 or 5 plate app...

Using WAR to compare players from different eras (AND just different positions from the same era) is probably not the best idea.

IMHO, you can make an argument that Pedro Martinez was the BEST pitcher in MLB history. When you consider his stats and in the offensive stats that were being put up during his era, I think there's a very strong argument that Pedro was the best pitcher of all time.
