Just for fun I thought it would be cool to post our top scores in the Action oriented Wii games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit with the balance board/scale.

I jotted down my personal bests in Wii sports to see if they are any good compared to other folks here who play a bit.

Here are my high personal best scores as of today (January 25th 2009)...Are your best scores even better!??? :D

These are all in the training mode games which are very fun.

Tennis

"Returning Balls" 40

"Timing Your Swing" 31

"Target Practice" 28

Baseball

"Hitting Home Runs" 10 HR 5478 ft.

"Swing Control" 55 pts.

"Batting Practice" 23 Hits

Bowling

"Picking up Spares" 17 lanes

"Power Throws" 600 pins

"Spin Control" 15 lanes

Golf

"Putting" 8 pts.

"Hitting the Green" 143.0 ft.

"Target Practice" 525 pts.

Boxing

(I haven't really played this one yet...didn't get a feel for the "nunchucks and timing" )

How do these match up with you all???

We got a Wii for Christmas too and it's been a BLAST for our household. I guess I don't have the same connections as Lance because I can't find a Wii Fitness anywhere. My wife wonders if I love her enough because I'm not calling in favors to get one of those. :D

1500 for tennis?? Awesome. Tennis got so competitive at home that I convinced our kids to just play doubles against the computer and they're both pros now. I love it.

The great thing about this game is that it introduces kids to all of the nuances of the game and actually gets them more excited to play. My 7-year-old kicks me in bowling every time and is a pro averaging over 200 per game. So this weekend he just had to go bowling to see if he could do the same on the real lanes. Well, reality hit him, but we all bowled four games, had a great time as a family in the smoke-filled alley (all jackets are being washed now!) and they learned how tough the sport can be. We had a blast and the Wii got these kids more involved.

Now I hope they get this excited about golf and BEG me to take them out 20-30 times this summer!! Then I will know this was the best purchase of my life. :D
