Online gaming (PS3 and Wii)

Post by sportsbettingman » Wed Apr 29, 2009 8:26 am

I finally hooked up my Wii and PS3 to the internet, and am just getting the hang of it.

I was wondering if any of you play online at all.

We have a group that plays Rainbow Six Vegas on PS3 on Wednesdays usually starting around 7:30pm PST...either death match with team vs. team...or terrorist hunts where we are all one team.

Just curious. I have a ton of games, and this opens up a new world of gaming. Rock Band, Wii sports (baseball, bowling, tennis, golf), Mario racing, Motor Storm racing, Vegas, etc.

It would be more fun to play non-strangers.

I play PS3 online.

I play Madden, MLB The Show and Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Battlefield Company is another sweet game to play online.

I heard the UFC is going to be a sweet game to play online. Very realistic! You can control every little thing you do.

You can go to the playstation store on your PS3 and download demos for free.

You can go to the playstation store on your PS3 and download demos for free. I saw that UFC game (maybe demo) at Best Buy yesterday. Didn't check it out much, but it had Forest Griffin on the cover.

I have Call of Duty 4, Resistance, and Rainbow 6 Vegas for the shoot'em up games.

I SUCK at Madden...I was good back in Madden 05 or 06...but when everything changed...I lost interest. I have 07 and 08 for PS3, but never play. I have Major League Baseball 2K7 as my newest PS3 baseball game.

I'd say the only games I'm good at are Rock Band 1 and 2 (guitar), and am learning to be better at Vegas...but still suck. My son was playing online both resistance and call of duty, and they looked great!

I don't know if you know this...but there is an actual Playstation Store on you PS3 which you can download free things, I always download the demos before buying the actual game to see if I like a certain game. The demos usually come out a month before the games actually hit the stores.

Just scroll over on the main page of the PS3 screen until you see PS3 store.

You can also download backgrounds, wallpaper etc. to your ps3. Also you can go to a website called PS3THEMEZ.com and download wallpaper straight to your PS3. That site is really sweet, they have some really cool home-made themes. People actaully join competitions on who can create the best themes.

Another great website for updates and research on games is Pastapadre.com

Ok...don't let me geek you out too much!
