This weekend my wife and I had the proud honor of witnessing my nephew, Jacob, take his place among the few who are able to successfully complete the rigors of Parris Island. Watching the procession of new Marines on the parade ground was a reminder of the value of commitment, sacrifice, honor, and duty.
My wife and I had the same thought afterward...we drew a comparison between those young men and women and those under-bred, over-paid, under-educated dribbling fools who take a knee during the National Anthem. Needless the say, the kneelers fell far short in our collective estimation.
For those of you so inclined, please do take a knee and pray for my nephew (and all active service individuals).

A dose of reality!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
