Two months before the draft and I will answer a question that will be asked down the road a piece.
What does it take to win a category?
Actually I can’t answer that question. Winning a category is really a function of your individual league and probably how certain teams view individual categories. If a team decides to draft four closers, then it will take 140 saves to win that category. Winning a category isn’t the question. These questions are more important.
1) What does it take to get an average score in a category?
2) What does it take to get a 12 in a category?
An average score will get you 80 points and no money but it should be your minimum daily vitamin requirement. A 12 in each category will get you 120 points. This will definitely cash and probably win your league. Six of the nine teams with 120 points or more cashed in the overall money. Only one team with 120 or more points failed to win their league. And they ended up third overall. I guess they ended up crying all the way to the bank.
Before the number, it should be noted that every hitting category was lower in 2005 compared to 2004. Who know what 2006 will be like?

What it takes to win
Thanks for the post, viper!
Any chance of also providing what all 10's and all 14's would be like? Would give an idea of the "bunching" and the "steepness of the slope"?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.
