Greg:
Do you have an estimate for how many SD leagues there will be, and/or approximately when the last leagues will be formed. I am a member of Slow Draft #11, and am seriously considering joinging another at some point. I would like to wait a little while, but I don't want to wait too long and miss the opportunity.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

I think this is one contest where demand will determine the final number of leagues. I based the overall prize pool on 20 total Slow Draft leagues because I really thought that's where we'd land. I never expected 20 full leagues by Jan. 20th. Last year we did 13 Slow Draft Leagues from Feb. 16th-March 16th, so I'd be surprised if we didn't finish with 40-50, thus doubling the amount of money we may be able to provide for the Slow Draft Championship.

We will definitely run $150 and $375 Slow Drafts with start dates up to March 1st. At that point we will have to determine if shutting them down and letting the satellite and Online Championship seasons take precedence makes sense. I think they will at that point. So maybe another 5-6 weeks of signups for the Slow Drafts makes sense. Hope that helps.
