NFBC XII: Best Return On Investment In The NFBC

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 13, 2012 10:32 am

We are proud to say that we are having a record year in the NFBC. We have hit our planned goals and even exceeded our goals in most of our contests. Everything from the Slow Drafts to the Main Event to the Diamond League are headed toward sellouts. We are VERY PROUD of the 2012 NFBC season.

That being said, there is probably one contest that isn't going to sell out and we're not afraid to admit that. Our NFBC 12-Team Main Event was our entry into the 12-team format and it was a national contest that we think can become another signature event for the NFBC. All of these national contests take time to grow and we are willing to take the pains with the gains. The best news is that the Return On Investment for anyone in the NFBC XII is now greater than ever. We can't turn back our guarantees or estimates at this point, so you win if you are in this contest.

We have over 180 teams committed to the NFBC XII with a few more weeks of signups left. I'm glad that we have more than 110 teams taking entries in both Main Events. This contest doesn't make it without our loyal players grabbing spots in both national contests. With another $50,000 grand prize and the potential payout of $75,000 if you win both overall titles, I would think that anyone in the Main Event would consider adding an NFBC XII. If you really believe you can win the Main Event -- and who is entered that doesn't think that way? -- then the chance for a $225,000 payday is even greater by entering at least one team in the NFBC XII. Your odds of winning will never be better in the NFBC XII than they are in 2012. It's the same thing we said about the Main Event in 2012.

We are committed to the $50,000 grand prize and I believe we will finish with 200+ teams and hopefully close to 20 full leagues. We have a lot of work to do and we might have to juggle some lineups to make that happen, but I still believe we'll reach those levels. Remember, your events fees and co-manager fees are waived from both events if you take entries in the Main and NFBC XII. Once we fill certain dates and times we'll close them out, so don't delay if you see anything that appeals to you now. We're moving forward and hopefully finishing at a good number. We'll eat the payouts if we have to in order to prove that we are committed to this 12-team format for this year and all years forward. Expect payouts in the 80+% range for this one at our current level.

Here are the current signups for the NFBC XII. If you have any questions or inquiries, contact me at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553. We need your help to fill up some of these time slots and really consider this a good debut season for the NFBC XII. I believe it will be and I believe we are advancing the 12-team format this way, not only with the Main Event but the Online Championship and our Satellite Leagues. We'll have more 12-team leagues in the NFBC this year than ever before, and that's a good thing. Dozens of new owners have joined the NFBC because of our new 12-team format and we're committed to that growth.

Okay, take a look at the signups and let me know if you see anything you like. Corona's on me for the late additions!! :D

There has to be 2 die-hard Midwestern fantasy players who would just love to do a 12-team live draft in the Windy City in a couple weeks.

like Greg said, You can't beat the NFBC XII for the possible return on investment. You have a shot at a $4,000 league prize and a 50K grand prize, in additon to having a shot to win over 200K if you are in both main events.

Greg,

maybe dropping the price to $999.99 would do the trick. you know, lessen some of the sticker shock :D

Agreed. We'll get 2 more in the Windy City for this one. Let's make this work.

We also need 3 more for the Chicago Auction Championship on Friday, March 30th to fill up our last Auction League. It doesn't look like our defending champ is coming back, so the title is up for grabs. Let's find 3 more owners to make this happen. Thanks all.

Wow, you guys have responded in typical fashion and really supported this 12-Team Main Event this week. We are now at 190 teams for the debut NFBC XII. We have a great shot at filling 6 full leagues in Las Vegas that Second Weekend and will close down each of those once they are full. We have ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT in each of the Friday 10 am and 1 pm time slots and we have two full leagues at 4 pm and a full league on Saturday night. That leaves only Sunday at 10 am open after Friday's events are full. Great job Las Vegas.

I wish we had the same support in New York and Chicago. C'mon dudes, look at this event more closely and dive in. It's a Great Day to Play Two, as Ernie Banks would say. Let's do it in those cities as well.

And we did just add a couple of Online options on Opening Day, Wednesday, April 4th. Check those out if you need one last fix. Thanks all.

Holy Cow!!! This has been a tough day. First Lindy jumps into my NFBC online event April 3rd, Now I read Lowy is joining me at 1pm in Vegas on the 30th. What's next Scroeder, Manger, Duke, Jupinka, Childs, Schroter, etc....

So much for this very well kept secret we call the NFBC XII.

Bring it on boys, it's going to be fun. To be the best you have to play against the best. Look forward to seeing you all in Vegas!!!

Must be the damn spell check getting me again

Mr. MAGNER, Ken, Sir, anyone who's been around these parts knows exactly who I was referring to.

Good luck this year. Don't hang out to long at that early morning buffet, you'll end up giving away all of your secrets. I've already had the place wired and bugged for sound. I'll be watching from the comfort of my Hotel room. :D

I didn't feel I needed to make an announcement on this because we never waivered on our commitment to the NFBC XII, but the $50,000 grand prize is a go and GUARANTEED. Some people have been asking me via email if this prize structure is still a go even though we're still 100 spots from a sellout and I've said it all along that nothing is changing here. The NFBC XII is going to be a big part of our events forever and this year it will be the best Return On Investment in the NFBC. Take advantage of it if your schedule permits because your odds of winning the $50,000 grand prize will never be better.

We currently have 201 teams signed up for the NFBC XII. We have existing leagues that if we fill them all would take us to 228, possibly 240. Prizes are based on 300 teams. They are GUARANTEED based on 300 teams. I'd love to fill one more April 3 or April 4 NFBC XII after that, but either way I don't think we'll sell out. So it's very possible we will finish with 19, 20 or 21 leagues, which is still a great start for a debut event. If you win your league -- which I know all of you expect to do -- that leaves you with about a 1 in 20 shot of winning $50,000. Those are pretty good odds. Win your league, take your chances in the smaller overall pool. Sound good?

All First Weekend NFBC XII leagues are now full. The March 27th NFBC XII is now full. Take a look at the Countdown Page here and if you see any Second Weekend NFBC XII's that are unfilled jump in. You are going to like the odds and the payouts. Trust me on that.

http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/contest_ ... oduct=1086

Thanks for the late push all and thanks for making this debut event a success. We are committed to the live 12-team Main Event format and we will sell this one out next year.
