NFFC Offers $150,000 Grand Prize In 2012

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:15 pm

I know we're all getting ready for our baseball drafts and our minds should only be on baseball right now. But we have finalized our plans for the upcoming football season this summer and we wanted to post the details to our three national championships on the NFFC Message Boards now. This will give all of our two-sport players something to chew on before the live drafts, where we expect to get great feedback from you folks on these plans. Good or bad, we want to hear it from you about the 2012 NFFC contests.

I still have one more post to make, but check out these two announcements:

NFFC Online Championship Grows To $100,000 Grand Prize

The NFFC is proud to announce that the guaranteed grand prize for the 2012 NFFC Online Championship is now $100,000!! Not only that, but the NFFC Online Championship will also have the largest league prize in the industry for this format: $1,600 for 1st place and $500 for 2nd place. NOBODY pays more within the league while also paying a six-figure grand prize than the NFFC!!

The NFFC Online Championship has grown from 600 teams and a $40,000 grand prize in 2010 to 948 teams and a $60,000 grand prize in 2011. Now we are taking this 12-Team Online Championship to a new level with prizes based on 1,596 teams and 133 leagues. Now you can compete for a $100,000 grand prize, plus the biggest league prizes in the industry without having to beat 3,000+ teams for the overall title. It doesn’t get any better than that.

NFFC Online Championship leagues will start in mid-July and continue right up to Saturday, Sept. 8th. A special Countdown page has already been created so that owners know EXACTLY how many spots are left in each available date and time. We also have automated KDS so that we can take signups just a few hours before the scheduled drafts and still give everyone their desired draft spots while joining a full league at the last few minutes. We are ready and prepared for the best season ever!!

League prizes in 2012 for the Online Championship will be:
1st: $1,600
2nd: $500

The Online Championship will again consist of a 13-week regular season. Teams that finish with the best head-to-head record and most total points in their league after Week 13 will win $1,600. Should two teams split those regular-season honors, each team will win $500 and those two teams will meet in a 3-week league playoff for the remaining $1,100. Total points over those three weeks (Weeks 14-16) will determine the league champion.

Overall Prizes include:
1st: $100,000
2nd: $25,000
3rd: $10,000
4th: $7,500
5th: $6,000
6th: $5,000
7th: $4,000
8th: $3,000
9th: $2,000
10th: $1,500

The NFFC will pay the Top 15 finishers in the Championship Round and the Top 10 in the Consolation Round. The Total Points Leader after Week 13 also wins $2,000.

All online drafts will be held on the STATS site and all results will be loaded into your team pages immediately after the draft. Cost of entry is $350 per team and we will again offer the 3-Pack Special of 3 teams for $1,000. Join us for the most memorable NFFC Online Championship in our 9-year history and maybe you could win the $100,000 grand prize.

NFFC Primetime Offers $150,000 Grand Prize In 2012
The NFFC is proud to announce our biggest grand prize in our 9-year history: a guaranteed $150,000 grand prize for the winner of this year’s NFFC Primetime. The NFFC Primetime had a record year in 2011 with 360 teams competing in our 12-Team Main Event. Now we’re shooting for 540 teams, with an increase in our league prizes and a big increase in our grand prize.

The NFFC Primetime is the only 12-team contest in the industry with a 13-week regular season, giving all teams additional weeks to prove they are the best in their league. The league prize has been increased to $6,000 this year and teams that win both the Total Points title and the Head-to-Head title after Week 13 automatically get the $6,000 league prize. Should two teams split those honors after Week 13, each team would receive $3,000 and the remaining $3,000 would be determined during a league playoff in Weeks 14-16. The team with the most total points during that 3-week sprint will win the additional $3,000. A total of $9,500 in league prizes will be awarded this year, our highest total ever for the Primetime.

Here are the Primetime league prizes in 2012:
1st - $6,000
2nd - $3,000
3rd - $500

Like the Classic, this payout structure really puts a premium on winning your league title through 13 weeks if at all possible. If not, that league title and the additional $3,000 will be on the line during Weeks 14-16.

Also new for 2012, THREE teams from each Primetime league will advance to the Championship Round, up from just two teams last year. Now all you have to do is finish in the Top 3 in your league and your team will be included in the sprint for the $150,000 grand prize. NOBODY allows more teams into their Championship Round than the NFFC Primetime.

The NFFC Primetime enters its 5th season having awarded $100,000 last year to champion Dave Clum of Pembroke Pines, Florida. This year’s champion will take home an even bigger grand prize with other overall prizes also increasing.

Here’s the NFFC Primetime overall prize pool:
1st - $150,000
2nd - $25,000
3rd - $10,000
4th - $7,500
5th - $5,000
6th - $4,000
7th - $3,000
8th - $2,000
9th - $1,500
10th - $1,500

There will also be a $75,000 cash bonus for any owner who can win both the NFFC Classic and NFFC Primetime overall titles. Cost of entry in 2012 is $1,500 and we’ll host live drafts in Las Vegas and in New York on Aug. 31-Sept. 2, and in Las Vegas, Chicago and New York on Sept. 6-8. Join the fun in 2012 and you could walk away with our $150,000 grand prize.

NFFC Classic Offers Biggest League Prize
The NFFC Classic is the industry’s only 14-team national contest and in 2012 it will be known as the contest that pays the most in prize money to the league champion. In 2012, every NFFC Classic League Champion will earn an unprecedented $7,000 league prize, a level no other contest can touch.

The NFFC Classic is known as the toughest competition in the industry and it’s very tough to win a league title among 14 teams. We felt so strongly about the league aspect in the Classic that we jumped the league prize this year from $5,000 to $7,000, while also bumping up 2nd and 3rd place in each league. Now 3 teams from each league are winning more prize money in 2012.

Here are the NFFC Classic league prizes in 2012:
1st - $7,000
2nd - $3,000
3rd - $1,500

No other contest in the industry is paying $11,500 in league prizes. NOBODY!!

The NFFC Classic will again consist of a 13-week regular season. Teams that finish with the best head-to-head record and most total points in their league after Week 13 will win $3,000. Should two teams split those regular-season honors, each team will win $3,000 and those two teams will meet in a 3-week league playoff for the remaining $4,000. WOW. Total points over those three weeks will determine the league champion. This payout structure really puts a premium on winning your league title through 13 weeks if at all possible. What a finish this will be in 2012.

The NFFC Classic enters its 9th season, having awarded $100,000 to each of our past 8 overall champions. This year prizes are based on 322 teams with the grand prize now set at $75,000. The overall grand prize will increase if the Classic expands beyond 322 teams, but the $75,000 grand prize is guaranteed for 2012.

Here’s the NFFC Classic overall prize pool for 2012:
1st - $75,000
2nd - $12,500
3rd - $5,000
4th - $4,000
5th - $3,000
6th - $2,000
7th - $1,500
8th - $1,500

There will also be a $75,000 cash bonus for any owner who can win both the NFFC Classic and NFFC Primetime overall titles. Cost of entry in 2012 is $1,500 and we’ll host live drafts in Las Vegas and in New York on Aug. 31-Sept. 2, and in Las Vegas, Chicago and New York on Sept. 6-8. Michael Treffiletti of Moreau, New York is the defending league champion, having won $100,000 last year. Can he defend his title and become the first owner to ever win the Classic twice? We’ll find out in 2012. Good luck everyone.
