Kudos for the really unique posting!

As I stated in another post on a different thread, maybe we need to consider a rules change for next year regarding the saves category. Morph it into a combination category of saves plus holds minus blown saves.It would add a whole new aspect to drafting relief pitchers! Feel free to jump in with your thoughts.

I dread losing my closers every year.... I know it probably wouldn't be as fun drafting a team for saves (kind of like how you draft a team defense in fantasy football) but boy would I sleep better some nights knowing that, if my closer was injured, at least I already owned his backup.

Well it was just a random thought to see if there is another way to value RP's other than saves.It's probably too drastic a change for most but I still think there's got to be a better way to measure the true value of a relief pitcher than merely counting saves.

This may not be it but that doesn't mean we should close the door completely on this thought.
