Pitcher Russian Roulette

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Sat May 05, 2012 11:38 am

Since pitchers seem to be flocking to the disabled lists for consultations and appointments with Dr. Andrews and a dash of under performance, we may as well have fun with this and try to guess the next pitcher to go down....

My guess for starter is Mat Latos....
No real reason except that he is young and not throwing like, well, Mat Latos.
It's more than the move to Cincinnati. At least that's the way I see it....

My guess for closer is Frankie Francisco....
Not going out on a limb here. Francisco is notorious for both hitting the dl and under performance. The Mets are slower than other organizations to see things, so his rope is a long one.
But, I'll guess the end is coming sooner than later....

Who's got next??
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Marmol will be my RP to go down. He has sucked and there needs to be an excuse ! :P

I'm thinking Josh Johnson. Something's not right.

I know he's not a closer, but I think Rauch is the next RP for the DL. This can't be the best he's got.

Great one on Lincecum... Forgot about him, but haven't owned him in about 3 years for fear of the wheels coming off that wagon!

I hear you. I can't afford to lose him. I don't think he is right though, surface stats notwithstanding

Well I would've said Max Scherzer who I started in my XII league every week until this one. What a headache!

One down, well almost and one more to go.............. Can we make bets on who gets injured next? This might be more fun than the actual Baseball season  :?

He just did.

With Bedard's fragility, it's possible he was just on an 8-pitch pitchcount tonight.

Probably an oblique or abdominal issue from the initial report of how he reacted on the mound before being pulled. Not a big deal. After all, I've only got him rostered on and in this week's lineup for seven teams. Considering his history, I suppose I should be happy he gave me a full month before hurting himself and one whole shutout inning for the week.

This baseball season is really starting to annoy the crap outta me.

Back spasms for Bedard. Considering his injury history and the way this entire season of injuries is going, I'm waiting to hear that it's the first known case of a career threatening muscle spasm.
