The thing that stands out the most? You took Pujols ahead of A-Rod.

Peavy/Pedro/Zambrano is about as good as it gets.

Your offense is in trouble.

~Lance yes, you need speed and saves, and runs and rbi's --- which begs the question, do you think you punt 4 categories and win?

Why'd you draft Upton? Vizquel would have been a better fit. Seriously, that has to be one of the most geriatric offenses I've ever seen.

[/QUOTE]interesting. The barbell approach. Use offsetting extremes to provide balance. Works in some things. In fantasy baseball I think it works like this: exclude everyone in their prime years (eliminating lower risk players with upside), while having the upside of high risk pre-prime players offset with high injury-risk players with no upside and in fact, more likely downside.

You end up with all the risk and none of the expected return. Ouch. Odds of getting desired production out of a portfolio of 15-20 risky entities simultaneously is close to nil.

I should be ok in Avg, ERA, WHIP, HR, K's. RBI/Runs...not sure...SB/Saves...bad. Wins is a tricky category.

Many of my old timers have fairly good track records of health. (I like to forget one and even two years if the rest are good, and they look to be healthy now)

My gut says Nomar is healthy...Bonds plays 110 games...Beltre (adjusts)and Alou (Bonds back) improve...Ordonez has value...Pujols and Giles and my catchers repeat 2005...my pitching is good...and I root like hell for the youngsters to gain starter status...which is pretty fun to keep track of...you must know that.

MAYBE they'll bust out this year but it wont be until august and they'll probably be gone from your team.

Tejada

Chavez

Jose Reyes

Rolen

Sheffield

A. Jones

Cameron

Bradley

Nixon

Delmon Young

Zito

Patterson

Livan Hernandez

Guardado

Fuentes

Klesko

Always the gambler, Lance. I am a bit surprised that after last season's Pirates Spoils, you didn't take a few less risky options. But I guess that is Lance, always the wild card. Nothing ventured, nothing gained... I guess.

You're correct...it's the gambler in me. Maybe too optimistic...maybe to nostalgic...but I know high talent when I see it...just cross them fingers for the injury big to get lost!

Good luck to yourself and Chest in 2006...see ya in Vegas in 2007!

~Lance (...and nice team fireballs)

Fireballs, I think you team will do middle of the pack - you have a bit of everything, speed, closers, etc... If some of your risks come up right, you could have a great team (like Liriano)

POWENS -

you had 3 real good/solid SP - you didnt need to waste a pick on Clemens you should have added a power hitting OF instead. Your HR and RBI look real troublesome.

Yeah, I probably overestimated the HR and RBI production from Fielder and Francoeur to complement ManRam and Cabrera. Clemens was still sitting there in the 14th round and I couldn't pass him up.
