Is the worst manager in baseball. I'm positive that if we took a poll I would be in a minority by myself. I've watched this Jackass for years. He insists on being a players manager, which is fine, he simply does it to an extreme that hurts the team.

Jim Leyland is my favorite manager in baseball, but I agree he should have pulled the plug EARLY on Dotel! It was clear he had nothing about 3 pitches in!

I'm a Tigers guy and don't like him, everyone else seems to. Coke did fine in the 8th, there were left handers on the horizon, just leave him in. Of his first 12 pitches, 11 were balls, when was enough, enough.

It was enough after a 3-2 loss. An absolute joke!!

I lost Fister's W on 2 of my 3 teams, but it wasn't on Leyland. Second guessing him is easy with Fister at only 73 pitches as well, but really his only mistake was having confidence in Dotel to get the job done and his player let him down. The last time he left Coke out for a 2nd inning was against Sea as well and after a 1-2-3 eighth, Coke got lit for 3 hits in the 9th and was lucky to get out of it with a runner thrown out at the plate. Leyland knows his players better than you do and last night Dotel let him down big time with Valverde and Benoit unavailable.

The problem I have with it is Dotel was no where near the plate. Of his first 12 pitches 11 were balls and no where close. This included a wild pitch which moved 2 runners into scoring position. Ichiro never even took his bat off his shoulder. I had the Seattle feed and even there announcers were laughing that Leyland would leave the guy in when he obviously had nothing. He should have faced 2 batters max, bring in Below and they win the game.

He frantically got up on ball 1 to the 2nd batter (Ichiro) and the catcher went out to chat. On ball 2, the pitching coach came out to stall. I don't think 2 more pitches were enough for Below to be ready to face Montero. Below is not a short man that can be ready in less than 10 pitches. The bottom line is that Leyland sent Dotel out there assuming he would get the job done and he didn't.

You're already destroying the field in our NFBC XII league, now you insist on not letting me bag on Leyland. There is no bigger Tigers fan than I. I can't stomach the guy ever since the 2006 World Series (I went to every game).

I may be an NFBC newbie, but I know enough to know that my good start is no reason to get confident with all the competition chasing me.

I'm not a fan of any team, but with 3/5th of the Tigers rotation now on my main event team I have a feeling that the Papa Grande adventures are going to tear me apart all season long as well.
