Rotoworld is reporting that Jonathan Lucroy hurt his hand when his wife shifted a suitcase under their hotel room bed when he was reaching under the bed for a sock. Apparently he couldn't even swing a bat tonight, so he may be out for some time. He was having a great season, and was a great plus on one of my better-performing teams. Arrrrrrgh!!!

I feel like cursing out his wife!
You really can't make this stuff up!

Brewers placed C Jonathan Lucroy on the 15-day disabled list with a boxer's fracture of the right hand.
4-6 weeks is the early prognosis

The season of the injury continues. I'm going to stick to football, where you have the regular stuff like twisted knees, torn ACL's etc. Not suitcase injuries. Yep, I have Lucroy on SD 47's team which is battling for the cash. This isn't going to help.

No doubt. A boxer's break (I've had it) doesn't come from a suitcase. Please.
Plus, he's a catcher - he caught any suitcase before it fell.
Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Isaiah 63:1

If the Brewers didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all. Amazing run of injuries for this sad-sack team.
This could be the last straw for the Brewers. They have a lot of tough decisions to make for 2013 and beyond and this could lead them to be sellers much earlier than expected. Do they trade Marcum soon with him being a free agent next year? Do they keep Greinke and still hope to sign him to a long-term deal at season's end or trade him? Can they get anyone to take Randy Wolf for the stretch run since he's a free agent at season's end? This team made its push last year and this year is headed downward. They have good, young pitchers coming up in late 2013 and it may be time for this team to re-stock and re-build.
Offensively, this team was challenged even before the injuries. Now I'm not sure how they score 4 or more runs. Bummer of a season after tasting the playoffs again last year.

Rumor circulating that when Lucroy heard that Jim Christie drafted him for his Auction
team Jonathan got angry and slammed his hand into the wall knowing full well that if Christie
like him this season he would eventually start to suck like the rest of those players Every League
Luny "liked" in 2012.

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Baseball sucks!
I'm sticking to football where there are less injuries!
