With all the injuries in MLB this season, you have to give it to any owner who has been able to keep his teams afloat this year. Chad Schroeder not only has done that through 8 weeks of the NFBC season he's done it with almost all of his teams. I know there's a lot of season left, but give it up to Chad for his incredible start:

1st overall in the Main Event
3rd overall in the Auction Championship
5th overall in the NFBC Online Championship
6th overall in the NFBC XII, plus 10th overall, 15th overall, 54th overall

That's pretty incredible. Great start Chad and continued good luck to everyone in our contests.

1st or near 1st in Diamond too. Shocking performance overall so far but not too surprising. Simply a fantastic fantasy player.
1st class guy all the way too. I had the (mis)fortune of drafting next to him in XII draft. I was proxy for my father and struggling a bit relaying picks to him. Chad offered to use the full allotment of time for his picks to allow me to catch up.

Go easy on us Chad, maybe it's time to focus on football ? ;) :D

He's also dominating the April 3rd Super by 26 points. What a dominant start.

What's amazing is that we all know he's in a class by himself this year and (to me) it's intimidating. When you play against him you're more conscience of everything he does more than any other player and it clouds your thinking sometimes. You can only get better by studying his teams and his approach. His track record speaks for itself. Everyone is aware of him in all of his leagues whether he's at the top or not. That's saying a lot.

No sympathy here Steve as I have Chad in my Main as well.....and a pair of XII's, the Ultimate Auction, and the Diamond!! Yikes! Having Chad in your league is often pretty much a death sentence on the league championship. No joke, I once finished 6th overall in a contest but didn't even win my league because Chad was in it.....and the overall champion. In my three years playing High Stakes, I've witnessed some great accomplishments. For instance here at the NFBC, we all know of Lindy's three overalls, an unbelievable feat. However, I play multiple sports and multiple contests. Chad's number of league wins, high placements in overalls, and overall championships over multiple sports, various contests, and various formats over that time is astounding.

What's almost as astounding as Chad's accomplishments is how truly humble he is. I finally got to meet Chad in person this year in Vegas and he's as great a guy as he is a player. In every conversation he's in, he's telling the person he's chatting with how he has a lot to learn from that player. While he was telling me this, all I could think of is how he kicks my a$$ in every league we're in together. :? A great player, a great person, and a guy whose record is a testament that this game is truly one of skill.

Good luck the rest of the way Chad. However, how about sharing some of the prize money with the rest of us. ;)

Come on Glenn. Chad's whole "aw schucks, I don't even know what i'm doing in baseball" has been exposed as complete BS. He's an assassin.

I like him because he brings a beer to each draft, even the NFFC Diamond at 9 am!!!

You're right Bob, at the Bellagio sportsbook he sure was one humble dude who seemed to feel like he needed to learn a lot from you veterans. Maybe he was just setting everyone up for the kill that weekend in Las Vegas. Oh well, he just signed up for about a dozen NFFC events yesterday, so he's ready to DOUBLE DOWN in football!!! Take a look at the signup list over at the NFFC when you have time and feel free to join Chad in any of those high-dollar events at the Bellagio Sept. 2-8. He's in ALL OF THEM!!! :D

Maybe it's time to offer "Chad free" leagues. ;) I'm positive they'd sell out in no time!!!

Based on his success you would think that's true, but that's really who he is not a front. I was able to experience that in Football last year. He is the type of guy rather than enjoy the ride he likes to enjoy himself after he reaches his destination. That's what makes him so good. He is never happy or content with any of his teams. That feeling inside of always having something to prove is what makes him a great player.

Here is a couple of conversations with chad after his ME and Diamond drafts..........

Me: So do you feel good about your team?

Chad: This ME team sux a$$! I should have done better. Could have done better in the back-end of the draft.

Me: Well, you feel that way about all your teams. That team looks good. Darvish will be key to that team winning $

Chad: Ha! Would have been better if I was on auto-draft. Oh well, just try to make the team better and see what happens...

Me: So what do you think of your Diamond team?

Chad: I don't know. I f'd that team up.....

Me: Hey, you missed out on the pitching runs so you went with plan B. Offense looks really good, just need to make sure you protect your pitching ratios and saves. You'll be fine

Chad: Yeah right, easier said than done when your in a league with a bunch of sharks.

Me: Yeah your right...

A couple of months later...............

Me: Hey your in 1st overall!!!

Chad: Yeah, I'm not sure how. Team is not very good.

Me: How about that your up there in the Diamond too.

Chad: That team hasn't performed very well. I need to fix a lot things

Me: Yeah sux to be you I guess.........

Never happy, just grinds, grinds, grinds.

Good job man!

No chance. I told him to grind out Baseball and I will take care of Football for now.....

He said fine as long as I don't make him draft Felix Jones in the 1st rd again........
