Here's a weird stat that I came across today.
Only six players in baseball have at least four doubles, four triples, and four homers.
Melky Cabrera 14/7/4
Dexter Fowler 6/6/8
Angel Pagan 11/4/4
Starlin Castro 8/4/4
Jonathon Lucroy 10/4/5
Bryce Harper 7/4/5
Interesting, not in the sense to perpetuate even more Bryce Harper hype. More so in how all these players hit in the National League. The National League has more triple inducing ball parks.
Only one American Leaguer can qualify for this list if we ONLY counted triples. That would be Jemile Weeks who has just four (No, I am not counting Orlando Hudson, who has defected to the American League).
All told, 12 hitters have at least four triples, Weeks the lone AL'er.
The power parks (sorry Cincy and Denver) and hitters are in the AL, where the top five home run hitters reside.
Hamilton-21
Dunn-18
Encarnacion-17
Granderson-17
AdJones- 16
Just thought it interesting....
NL/AL

Sometimes the hype reminds me of a 14 year old girl falling head over heels for her first boy-
'Dear Diary,
I saw Bryce today. He is so DREAMY!
He stretched a double into a triple, I don't know what that means, but everybody else thought that it was cool.
While he was on the bench, I looked down from my seat and I swear he was looking at ME!
ME!
Oooohh!
Then, he picked his nose. But he did it better than all the other kids!
He is so AWESOME!
I'll always love him!

(two months later)
Mom: Patty, you still got a crush on Bryce Harper?
Patty: Oh Gawd, Mom, that was like two years ago! Have you seen Arenado hit, have you seen Bauer pitch?
Ooooohh, they are soooo dreamy! I have a crush on both of them!
I'll love them forever!
And, so it goes....
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
