Gekko, Chad & Jules On SiriusXM This Wednesday

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Feb 18, 2013 9:27 am

We have a star-studded lineup for this Wednesday's STATS Fantasy Advantage on SiriusXM 210/87. Along with me and Tom will be:

Mark Srebro at 7:15 pm ET to talk about what he's seeing in the NFBC Draft Champions Leagues and more
Chad Schroeder at 8:15 pm ET to talk about high-dollar private fantasy leagues, his successes and more
Jules McLean at 8:30 pm ET to talk about the current NFFC Trendsetters league and upcoming fantasy football drafts

Each segment is a totally different fantasy topic and should be great content for this audience. I'm looking forward to talking with each of these NFBC and NFFC owners about all of this. Should be great fun.

Okay, if you have any questions you want us to ask on Wednesday night, let us know. We can go soft on them or we can really hit them with the tough questions!! Should be fun. See ya on Wednesday night.

I want to know Jules is going to be in Vegas with us first weekend? Great competitor and very nice person. Plus, we need someone to liven the joint up! 8-)
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Jules is taking the baseball season off to concentrate on football. It's a shame that she won't be in the NFBC this year because she really is a good fantasy baseball player and a solid auction participant. But football is definitely her first love and you can see that at fantasyfreakinfootball.com.

The second year she was in the NFBC, Brady Tinker was shooting some video for us and interviewing the participants. He thought it was a good angle to interview one of our few female participants. He asked her a question during the draft and she said "Brady, I'd love to talk with you, but I need to make a pick now. Leave me alone." Brady was impressed with that dedication and he got to know Jules real well after that.

We could use her personality at the NCAA Viewing Party, but instead you'll have to play in the NFFC to see her this season. But listen tonight for her insight there.

No Jules? That is a shame. At least you got Jules on the show and I know it will be worth listening to.

I think "foosball is the debbil", but I just might have to jump in! :)

Thanks for having me on. Really liked it.

Get me on there with Mikey M to debate the validity of taking Jay Bruce in the 3rd round

Thanks all. That was easily our most informative show so far, thanks to our great guests. We had three great interviews with Mark Srebro, Chad Schroeder and Jules McLean. All three did the NFBC/NFFC proud and provided some great information for the SiriusXM listeners. It's really great to hear from the pay-to-play customers in this industry because industry talking heads are just that: talking heads!! Let's hear from the REAL EXPERTS in the industry, the paying customers.

Mark did a great job of talking about early season drafting trends, naming some players like Jason Grilli who have gone from the 33rd round to the 12th round and giving some personal insights into FAAB each week. Really good stuff Mark.

Chad was fantastic as he honestly talked about last season's successes and near misses and what he likes best about these contests and this industry. It was like sitting at the bar talking with Chad and it came across very smooth and personal. Just great stuff. And I don't think there are many shows on this channel that interviews a guy who is playing in TWO $10,000 entry fee leagues and a $5,000 auction league over two days in Las Vegas.

And Jules was solid as expected and very knowledgeable about fantasy football and the rookie market. Again, just a solid exchange of good, solid fantasy football information coming from a paying customer who really knows the player pool in February for the upcoming season. Great stuff.

We may try for 3 guests next week as well. I know we'll have Shawn Childs on to talk about that weekend's LABR AL and NL auctions that we're doing together in Phoenix and we'll reach out to a couple of other auction players and add another NFFC Trendsetters owner. Look for that next Wednesday on STATS Fantasy Advantage.

Thanks again all and keep listening. The show has been good for all of us and hopefully for the fantasy sports industry.
